May 15, 2012I have one tool which we developed on visual studio 2010. there are basically two parts of my project, one is UI part which i wrote in VB and algorithm part which is in C++ on back end. When we compile C++ part it creates a .dll which is used by my front end VB program.
Now my problem is little weird since i am compiling and deploying this tool on windows xp machine but some of the users are using windows 7 64 bit machines and after running the program for about 5-10 minutes, it crashes on windows 7 with following error
Not enough storage is available to process this command and when i view details of that error, i get the following description.

i am completely clue less for this error since this program works fine on xp but doesn't work on windows 7.

Jul 23, 2010The full error text is as follows: The Visual Studio language support for VB has not been installed. Code-editing IntelliSense will not be available. Markup IntelliSense for server controls may not work.
I am using Visual Studio 2008 Professional Edition. Visual Studio crashed yesterday and now I'm getting this error when I try to edit any code-behind in any project.I have tried resetting all environment settings and that didn't work.I have tried repairing my installation via add/remove programs and that didn't work.
I have tried reinstalling SP1 and that didn't work.I tried creating a new VB Windows project and received the following error: Project "TestVB" could not be opened because the Microsoft Visual Basic 2008 compiler could not be created. Please re-install Visual Studio. However, I already tried the repair/reinstall.
I'm not sure what else to try beyond a full uninstall/reinstall, and I'm hoping somebody has encountered and fixed this problem without having to do that.UPDATE: I have tried uninstalling Visual Studio, rebooting and then installing again and that didn't work. I am now out of options and really need my VB environment restored.

At the moment I am using Visual Studio 2008 and even though the WSPBuilder is installed none of the relevant SharePoint templates are present.Having searched SO and the web, most advise to install the templates via the Visual Studio command prompt: devenv /installvstemplates
Alas the Visual Studio command prompt is also missing from my VS2008 installation.So, the question remains: which version of VS2010 contains what I need for pain-free SharePoint development? There is a rather large price different between VS2010 Professional and VS2010 Premium, so can anyone tell me if the cheaper version (VS2010 Professional) contains all the Sharepoint templates?

I downloaded the Direct X SDK for August 2009, but I can not add the .dll files to the reference list. Is there anything I can do to add them? I need the references for programming reasons.

On my developement enviroment the code compiles fine, but sometimes, - let's say - I forget an _ at the end of the line which causes the VB9 compiler to throw an error.So the question is, how could I build a project with the VS 2010 IDE but VB9 compiler? * Once the user design's each screen to his taste by placing various controls on the form, he should be able to save the form as a screen. Of course I have to provide functionality for each of the controls such as if he drags a button on to the form, he should be able to specify what action it has to perfom when clicked when the application is put into run mode. Quite similar to regular windows form button.
* My application should have two modes: a DESIGN MODE, where user can drag, drop controls and specify what they should do when put into RUN MODE. This is quite similar to MS Visual Studio designer.
* Last but not least is to be able to access the application via the browser with the same look and feel his desktop version.

Jun 27, 2012I have created a simply Pizza program (for a summer project not education related) that uses check boxes to determine what the customer wants. Basically a simple pizza ordering program.I was wondering as I have used the If statement over and other again for different parameters and variables, is it possible to use multiply arrays to simply the VB Code...I was advised to use Constructors in VB.Net Or is there a more simpler way to go about creating this program...or a better way of programing?What about decreasing the repetition in the code?

.net - Printing In Visual Studio 2010?
Jan 16, 2011Now I'm at the end of the first part of my project and now i need to print a voucher with few pre-printing words and 7 fields that comes from a dataset.I try to use *rdlc file on which i made all the necesary layout very good, and the link was very good as well But print NO I did something in *.xaml file very dificult to put controls and make the links.But lets say i will do it, for the moment i have a picture and a label with few words, and I'm trying to print it with the following lines

But in the dialog I see only a blank page.Of course I have a mistake in my mentality of building my code but I don't know where is that.I also need to admit that is the first time in my life which I'm trying to print from Visual Studio 2010.Now Please I need the best assistance you can give me.For the moment i want to print in my default Laser printer.But in the final stage i will have to print in an Olivetti PR2 (Bank printer) which will be connected in the com: port.That will be the day if I succeed :)
