IDE :: Modify A VB DataAdapter Select Statement At Run Time In VS 2010?

I wish to populate a datagrid from a data source using parameters specified by the user. I have successfully achieved this by using the TableAdapter.Fill method with VB in VS 2010 Express. However, the potential permutation of parameters is becoming too large to have a separate Fill method for every possible combination. Ideally I would like to construct the SQL SELECT statement at run time to reflect the user's options. Can the Fill select command be set at run time, and if so, how? I only need to build the WHERE clause, and the query is read only.
I want to check the current time with the half an hour time slots (total of 48 starts from 00:00,00:30,01:00,....23:30). Is it possible using select case statement.
I am storing the current time in an object.
Dim datime As DateTime = DateTime.Now.ToString("t")
now i need to do conditional check on this variable. under whichever the time slot the variable belongs, i need to write a value under corresponding timeslot.
I was using an If block to see if a line in a file contained a specific string. But I need to look for many different string and do different things based on each. So I don't want a million nested If blocks. So I decided to use a Select statement. But, I can't figure out how to use .Contains with it. If I do .ToLower.Contains, like I did in the If block, it stops me.

how can i modify my object at run time? I have a form containing two panels; textbox, picturebox, and a label are in the panel1 where as panel2 is likely to be the user screen.. User drag the textbox from panel1 to panel2 and it is added there.. Now, i want to provide the facility to the user to modify the size using mouse similarly as we use to modify using mouse while making our forms.. I have some code that fills my datagridview (VulDgv) I also have some code that exports the datatable to an excelfile (DatatableToExcel). All works pretty good. However...when I export to an existing file I get 2 warnings, first is the "file exists overwrite" warning from the savefiledialog. The second message is the "excelfile exists" from excel itselve. (is it possible to hide this message?) My real problem is after the 2 messages the code APPENDS the data to the excel file instead of overwriting it.

I am tryin to access a 2003 Microsoft Access Database using VB in an OleDb format. The database file name is Billings.mdb and there are 3 tables in the file the one I am trying to access is tbl Clients. When debugging the program I continue to get an Unhandled error point to the FROM part of the SELECT statement. It continues to occur regardless of my attempts to vary the input.

From the above statement, I would like retrieve several data and the count of Traceid from trn_Invt_Details where the traceid in trn_Invt_Details match with traceid in trn_Invt. I am using vb.net 2005. I am trying to select data from a table where the field [hoteldate] is 2 days from now. The field's format is MM/dd/YYYY and when I use the Where clause :WHERE HOTELDATE = DATEADD([DAY], 2, GETDATE()) it returns nothing.
