I have 2 MDB files (ms access) with some set of tables in both the MDB file with same table/varibale structure.Now I want to append records from second MDB file tables to first MDB file tables.
Note: the table name and structure in both the MDB file is same.

The import of the data contains updating existing records in the database with the new values or inserting a new record if the record could not be found.
What is the best approach to accomplish that?
(Reading the file line by line, executing a SELECT and UPDATE or INSERT from my .NET Application doesn't truly satisfy me, because this way it processes around 35 records per second, which leads to several hours of processing time...)
A first option might be to combine the select and update/insert commands in a stored procedure, but this would still take a lot of time.
Is there something like MySQL INSERT ... ON DUPLICATE UPDATE?
Is it possible to pass a list/array of records (multiple columns) to a stored procedure?

Ok, here's my issue I need to import an xml file into SQL, I tested everything out using Bulk Insert to my local SQL Server which worked great, however the application that I will be using is on a different PC then the Production SQL server. I would prefer not to have to grant special permissions to a shared drive for the SQL server to read the files.

I am developing an application in which data will be handled offline and then fed back into the main application. Hence need the facility of Export & Import of data.I am using WriteXML to export desired data from the server database using dataset.
The data is imported back, into the Client module. During the day client may modify/insert records in the imported data. At the end of day, the client exports back the modified data and which needs to be imported back into the system's main database.Now what I want is, if new record is entered by the client then it should be inserted into the dataSet and if original record is modified during offline mode then the Original data should be updated with the new value. I think, its similar to the DataSet and Database concept i.e when dataSet is updated. But am not able to do this.
At present, if I import then all data is imported irrespective of whether the data already exist or not.And if I implement Primary Key in the dataset then for modified data it gets stuck with constraint.

I am trying to import data from an excel file but the spreadsheet name is causing problem. If I use 'Sheet1' as the name of the spreadsheet from which I want data, then it works fine but I want to change the name of the spreadsheet to the name which has spaces like 'PROJECT SHEET'. Please guide

Each workbook has one worksheet (about 30,000 rows) that gets reformated a bit and imported to a new table. What's the most efficient way to do this?
I'm currently reading in the entire range from Excel into a 2D array. Looping over the rows in this array and adding each row to a long SQL statement that gets executed every thousand rows. But this is painfully slow both on the looping through the array bit and the pushing to the SQLite step.

I have a problem with the function below. If anybody knows of a simpler way to accomplish the same results,The problem that I have with this function is that sometimes, not always, it keeps the Excel process running and when this happens I can run the function again until I kill the Excel process manually.
Another problem with this function is that it is slow if the Excel sheet contains a lot of data.
And also I can't get this function to read all the sheets in the Excel workbook and put the contents of each sheet in a separate data table in my dataset.

What I'd like to do is take the xml for the word and map the points on the form to a database.I have done a sort of mail merge from a sql database before using the document.xml from the word doc, but can use the same xml to pull data out from word into a database?
