I need to make a listview, for each item to be like this:
- An image on the lef.t
- A header text on th etop.
- A minor text on the bottom.
I have a listview control. it has an imagelist attached to it with two images in it. I have entered items into my listview, and they are using the first image in my imagelist.... GREAT! Now, there is a variable I have that will tell me which index in the listview is currently active, noting to do with what I select that could be at another index it's just what's being processed by the program at the time in some task.
Create a function that will change the images of all my listview items by looping through them. If the index variable is set to 2, I want the 3rd item in my list view set to use the 2nd image in my imagelist. The rest of the items in my listview need to be set to the first image in the imagelist.

View 6 RepliesI am currently working with a gridviews in asp.net(vb). I have it where I am able to pass information from gridview1 to gridview2 on the next page. However, what I need to do now is pass a variable from a column in gridview2 to the header of that page. i.e. in Gridview2 we have a column and all results are the same, the column header is StoreName and all the data for column is Sears. I know how to make the entire column invisible, but at the top of the page I need a sentence that looks like this:
Store Information for Sears
I am having trouble with what the code would look like for that line, all the thing I have tried have resulting in using a variable before it is declared. I need this line to be dynamic as the results will not always be for Sears.
I am not getting column Header in listView. only one item(0) is displaying not the sub Item. here is my code.
Dim PTCode As Integer = CInt(ChildPatnameTag)
ClearSQl()
CheckState()

View 4 Repliesim trying to write to an sql database. im inserting an image, as well as some other information. I am using the following code which works fine, as long as i do not add an extra column/variable "LOCATION" in to the mix and leave "
'Cmd.Parameters.Add("@LOCATION", OleDb.OleDbType., 3).Value = "testing"
commented out. *this is undesireable as im trying to add extra criteria to be saved like LOCATION.
Try
Dim st As New FileStream("\serverfolder1storage" & "pdftemplate.jpg", FileMode.Open, FileAccess.Read)
Dim mbr As BinaryReader = New BinaryReader(st)
Dim buffer(st.Length) As Byte
[code]....
i am trying to store the location e.g "c:file1.jpg" in the sql db. Can anyone reccomend a solution to this using OLEDB? ideally i need to add approx 4 more variables. e,g
firstname
surname
dob
location
i wish to display an icon into DataGrid selected row. How can I do? I tried by creating an image (img), and a new DataGridRowHeader (h); then I set h.content = img but I could not find the appropriate place where to put the new row Header h.
View 2 RepliesI'm trying to dynamically create a listview. on reports.aspx user selects a bunch of checkboxes. On the next page, user sees reports.aspx, and should see a table with columns of the checkboxes he selected. My idea was to create a listview, then dynamically change the header row of the LayoutTemplate, then change the select statement depending on which columns selected. This is what I have:
<asp:ListView runat="server" ID="ReportListView" DataSourceID="ReportListViewSDS">
<LayoutTemplate runat="server">
<table runat="server">
[Code]....
Problem is that this doesn't work because i can't put a code block (<%%>) inside the LayoutTemplate. Is there a way in the code behind to edit the LayoutTemplate, or another way to cycle through the Request.Form vars and build the table header row with it?
I want to change the color of the group header text in listview which separates all the items into various groups, there is no such option to do that directly because no such property exists.
As far as i can think of it can be achieved via overriding the paint event but i have not done any overriding of paint events on windows controls so far.
How would i get this to work on a listview to count the total in the header colums called Cost.
This is a code for DataGridView how do i get it to work in listview?.
code
Dim index As Integer = 1 'column index
Dim total As Single = 0.0F
[Code].....
At runtime, I am adding a DataGridView to a windows form. The final column is a DataGridViewImageColumn:
Dim InfoIconColumn As New DataGridViewImageColumn
MyDataGridView.Columns.Insert(MyDataGridView.Columns.Count, InfoIconColumn)
Adding the following code will get my Information Icon (bitmap) to display in each of the column cells but NOT the column header:
Dim InfoIcon As New Bitmap("C:MyPathInfoIcon.bmp")
InfoIconColumn.Image = InfoIcon
Also, it is worth noting that the image displays 'perfectly' in the cells i.e. it is sized correctly to fit the cell.
However, I cannot find a way to add the same image to the column header cell. After some googling I used the following code which placed the image in the header cell but left me with two problems:
The image did not 'auto-size' to the column headercell in the same way it did when added to the column cells. The image was slightly larger and blurred.
By using the _CellPainting event slowed down performance i.e. when hovering over the DataGridView to highlight the selected row the highlighting lagged behind where my mouse was placed.
Here is the code:
[Code]...
Does anybody know of a way to solve my problem and get a nicely sized, sharp image into a DataGridViewImageColumn headercell at runtime?
I want to know how to read tiff image header information using vb.net or C#.
