I have to create an image that is to mimic a single clock rotating hand within a square area,and the user has to choose the width and speed of the rotation and the direction.i managed to create the square area with a hand inside,with this codes and variables,

I'd like to be able to graphically represent a position in a 3D graph and be able to rotate the grid to match a certain perspective. I've looked for tutorials online, but they all mention how to import or create common file types. I don't want or need to do this. I just need to know where to begin. I have the DirectX SDK, but I'm not sure where to start with it and need some direction.
View 1 RepliesIn VB2005 GDI+, it's not too difficult to get zooming and panning working together, or rotating and panning. But I am finding it very difficult to get all three functions working in coordinatioin. The code below is the nearest I have reached so far. It's a working example on a standard Windows Form, but please supply your own image. The user can drag the image with the left mouse button, and toggle wheel zooming or rotating by tapping the space bar. Both zooming and rotating work. But the stationary centre of zooming or rotating (marked by a red cross in the example) remains relative to the image.

I want to ensurethe user does not enter such characters as ' " ( ) or any which could mess up the sql syntax the script makes, and with some will validate what they entered is of numerical value.
Now I know you can stop the text box allowing such characters in a Windows application, but cannot find for the life of me a way of doing such in a web application - and its not really viable to perform a sub-string check at the click of a button for every box

I need to be able to add (specific) special characters to text boxes. Problem is, there are five of them spread across two forms and three tabpages. What I'd like to do is bring up a form when the user presses something like "F2" while the text boxes are focused, then on that form would be a grid of buttons. When the user pushes a button, the character is added to the box. How do I get this form to reference the box that called it without passing a global variable or calling a public function? I tried Form3.Parent.Name, but that always seems to refer to nothing. Also, once this is done how can I get it to just insert a character where the cursor on the calling box is? It probably shouldn't even be on a form either since that will take the focus when it's called (which I don't want)

If I put my DrawObjects() sub into picturebox paint event.When ever a picturebox.refresh or picturebox.visible = true (vb.net seems to draw my DrawObjects() first, then load the jpeg Image over my drawing - erasing drawing) Is there a way to get the picturebox to redraw the jpg image first then draw on it, in picturebox paint event?

I have an application that downloads a .jpg snapshot from an IP camera, writes it to the server hard drive, attaches it to an email and sends it out to my users. Pretty simple until one guy had to mount his camera upside down and that's how he received the image via email.
It gets a bit annoying after a while, so he asked me if I could rotate it 180 degrees before attaching it to the email. I have absolutely no idea - hence my post. The app is on a hosted ASP.Net v3.5 web server.

I am trying to draw an image from a MS Access database by use of e.Graphics.DrawImage(New Bitmap()). In my database Row 0 Item 1 holds the path to the image I want to draw.

I am trying to verify that an image has been loaded into the picturebox1. I am loading the image from the web and need to verify it has arrived before I can save it to disk. If I save it to soon I will save nothing and that will crash the app. I have tried to use 'if PictureBox1.image = nothing then' ... 'End If', but that isn't a valid check. I can obviously not check picturebox1.image if it is empty or has an image.
So the question is, how do I verify that the file has finished loading?
I am trying to incorporate in my vbdotnet application a form in which I would like to make a thumbnail from an image. So what I have is two picture boxes, one with the source image and the other with the destination image, I would like to crop the image from picture box 1 and display it on picture box 2, but the way I wan to crop it is not giving the coordinates of the selected area box but to simulate a selection area box in which the mouse can move the box and select the area of the picture to be cropped. This selection area box would give me the coordinates i need in order to proceed the cropping. The problem is I don't know how to create this selection area box. It is like doing the cropping on a graphic design software like Macromedia Fireworks, Adobe photoshop, even paint.

I have created an image zooming code, but it enlarges the image and sadly, doesn't show the blocks of pixels I was hoping for.I have thought of several ideas, but each worse than the next. As an example, re-create the image, increasing each pixel's area based on the zoom-level. But I can tell already that this process would be slow and judging by photoshop (or paint) there is a quicker method.

But that can't be right... Can it? It's a binary image, I should be evaluating each pixel as true/false. Correct?
