Oct 18, 2011I am working with buttons I have A treeview that when you click on a node it changes the text in textboxes and I need it to change the command the button does. So when a user clicks a node it changes text in 3 text boxes and changes the download link for the button. As you can see from the code all works fine but I need to use a button to download stuff and I dont know how the download code is

1. collapse and expand treeview when i click plus sign (+) on treeview, treeview didn't expand subfolder but when i click image, treeview expand it.

Feb 16, 2009Im working on a project that has an explorer like treeview control. The control works great. What I need it to do though is once it gets to the end of the folders and sees a valid text file i want the text file to open into the textbox I have placed next to it while still opening anything that is not a plain text file the way it normally would. The code I have now is below and works to open the application or file with its corresponding program but I cant get the text file to populate the textbox.

A second issue im having trouble with is after the file has been opened in the textbox i want a button to send the text to a webpage form that is in the app. Its an actual webpage that I have embedded into the app. with the webrowser control. Its a simple textbox on the webpage. So basically I need to double click the file on the treeview that opens the file into the textbox(editor) I have made then with a single click of the button select all/copy then paste it into the box on the webpage all within the same application.
I have a file open that I can use to manually open a text file in the textbox that works great. I have tried to manipulate that to the treeview with no success. I have the button to select all and copy. Now if I can just get the text file to open on double click from the treeview and the send to the webpage control and my app is complete. Well almost Im working on a spellcheck feature for it but that's just extra functionality id like to add.

Link A Textbox To A Cmd Command In Visual Basics
Jul 20, 2010I want to make a program that will sync two folders together with the command in cmd called xcopy, so when i click on a sync logo the folders sync. But i want the user to be able to browse for the locations then set the locations as they sync folders. I already have linked two FolderBrowserDialogs to two textboxes so when i select a folder in the browser the directory shows in the text box. But then how do i put the two directories into the xcopy command? This is what i have done so far...

Feb 15, 2010I have a function to rename a TreeView Node to a TextBox text.. When the user clicks a button with a little icon on it, a new Node is created. It is called Graphic_(0,1,2 ect.) So it changes the number to the TreeView Node count.
E.g

Graphic_1
ect.
But, the user can also Delete the nodes and Rename them..
Sooo... the problem is, that if the user renames a previous Node, and calls it Graphic_ and then the NEXT number to occur, 2 Nodes will be the same, and I don't want that.
E.g

Graphic_4 <<<< User renames to up coming node number..
Graphic_3
So what I want is to prevent 2 Nodes being the same.. how do I change the UPCOMING Node name to the missed out Node, in our example: Graphic_2.

I have made a kiosk type software (for my 7 year old daughter so she can only do what I want her to do on one of our computers)
1. I have a toolstripcombobox that will be where she puts in the url's. I need information on keeping the history of where she goes? So when she clicks the arrow to the right it lists all the sites she has been to.
2. Right now, the webbrowser navigates to where the url is (www. vbdotnetforums.com), but when you click a link it dosn't update the textbox with the new url [URL]. It just stays at the first url.... Anyone know how to fix this?
3. Any help being able to add tabs and load the tab with the url like internet explorer?

Link Textbox Values To Resource Values?
May 25, 2009I'm using a pattern of buttons verticle, & horizonal, to produce a 2 dimensional matrix (6 deep, 25 wide .) The sequence is repeating, but offset from horizonal line to line. the values are 1 thru 12. there are corresponding files in the "My.resources." file carrying names related to the buttons. If the "my. Resources" filename is say.., "1,3,4,6,8,9,11,12 " & the buttons pushed have produduced the string "1","4","6" then the prestated file carries all these values, and therefore should be selected. All integers of the textbox list must be present in a "my.resources" file to show the file. There will be multiple files in the resource file that will fit. (My ultimate intention is to show all files that fit, somehow. I'll have to, eventually. I'm still writing this, and changing it constantly. )the question is, "How do I get the computer to link the textbox integers to the resources files? Textbox = "1", "4", "6" to My.Resources.1,3,4,6,8,9,11,12

what i want is that when i select Level3 Node it should chek TV2 for the parent of this node. if parent exist it should add the node under the same parent. if parent does not exist it should check for Level 1 Node and if it exist it should add Level 2 Node and then Level 3 Node. Otherwise it should add Level 1 , Level 2 and then Level 3 Nodes in order.

In this class, I have a TreeView property let's call myTreeView..In my code, I populate the Nodes of this TreeView so I can use it later on.Then, when it's time to actualy use it, I haven't been able to take all the nodes from myClass and put them in a Tree View Control on my form.[code]The weird thing is that when debugging, the TreeView in MyClass is well populated with the proper values and in the loop, newNode isn't empty, there's actually something but for some reason it's not showing anything.
