As the title describes I tried to get the selected items and it returned an emtpy collection. The property only works once after that something goes wrong and it returns an emtpy collection. Does anyone know why? Or knows what I'm doing wrong?

I click one of the item within my listview control. I think I have already selected it.
It enter into sub ListViewProjectsList_SelectedIndexChanged(). However it pop up a box say "No Items is seledted at all".

View 2 RepliesI have a ListView of 4 columns, one of which is a monetary value.I am trying to add these values of 'selected' rows. I can add ALL row's values - but not selected rows. The code that I use actually highlights all the rows that contain the string that is looked for but the result is not correct. Let me explain: Say I am looking for all the rows that contain the word "Special" and that it is in 4 rows. The 4 rows are highlighted but the result is the value of the first row highlighted multiplied by the number highlighted. In a Console.WriteLine I find that the same numberRow is shown 4 times. View 6 RepliesI have this script which is designed to loop through all of the selected listview items, and delete them from the ftp server. - The list view item names are exactly the same name as they are on the FTP server.

Some info:
The FTP server works fine! I'm using it in other places in my script, and those functions work fine. ftp.FtpDelete works fine as a function, I've used it to delete single files before. It doesn't delete any of the files, it just gives me a load of exceptions.

I have a multiline textbox in which i add values to.A button is pressed to put these values in a listview in the first column.I then have 5 or 6 other comboboxes and textboxes that will send information as subitems to the listview, only if the original item in the listview has a checked box. I want to be able to populate the textboxes when the user selects a customer. For example: If User selects AAA, textbox1.text = AAA, then if User selects CCC, textbox2.text = CCC etc.

For the personal touch, I tried using a ListView to manage a SQL database (on a remote web server).What I need to do right now is determine how many items are selected (if more than one, enable delete and edit buttons, if more than one, disable edit button). Ok, here is the problem,in vbscript, i was reading parts of streams
i.e.
teststrid = left (strLine,8)
teststrnm =rtrim( mid (strLine,15,30))
teststrx = mid (strLine,57,8)
teststr = left (strLine,3)
strFormcode = left (strLine, 10)
strSymmetrycode = left (strLine,14)
strSigncode = left (strLine, 10)
Even in cases that strLine length was less than the index used to split the string, the program kept running.Now i am trying to do the same in VB.net, but since the strLine is not always bigger than the index used to break the string, it ives an error.I do not want to use try catch, because i will have very dirty and uselless code.
I was thinking something like resume next, but i guess it doesnt exist anymore.
I am working on a file access monitor wrapped up in a VB .Net Class. The ileSystemWatcher is working and my log file shows files when they are accessed. However, I am having trouble returning who or what accessed the files. For example....system services and processes should return something like NT-ATHORITYSYSTEM while a network share being accessed by another computer should return DOMAINUSERNAME and finally a process running in the background via "Switch User" should be returned as DOMAINSOMEOTHERUSER ....anybody have any ideas? I have searched high and low and have found nothing but other people asking the same question and people saying how it is not possible. the Sysinternals Process Monitor is able to output the correct results and its documentation states it was created using NET API however I can not find any references to any such API calls or combination of such. Should I be using something else other than the FileSystemWatcher? My code is below

In my Windows Form I have a ComboBox that is filled by a Stored Procedure with a list of names. I have the Combobox set for AutoComplete to "Suggest" and From "ListItems". When a user starts to type in and the AutoComplete does not find any matches in the listitems the user can tab out of the ComboBox and leave what they typed in the combobox even though it is not one of the Valid Items. Is there a way to check the Comboxbox to make sure of of the selected Items has been selected?
