Calculate Differences From One Date To Another With Datetimepicker?
Feb 27, 2012Im a beginner at visual basic. I did some codes refering to a form in which I need to calculate the differences between my my date of birth to another date. I did a statement which gives me the difference between those in the format of years, but I need to know how I can put the months and days example if my birthdate is 11/26/1991 and I want to calculte how many years, month and days has transcurred until today it would be like 20 years 3 months and 11 days.

VBscript Doesnt Return Error, But .net Returns?
Apr 22, 2010Ok, here is the problem,in vbscript, i was reading parts of streams
i.e.
teststrid = left (strLine,8)
teststrnm =rtrim( mid (strLine,15,30))
teststrx = mid (strLine,57,8)
teststr = left (strLine,3)
strFormcode = left (strLine, 10)
strSymmetrycode = left (strLine,14)
strSigncode = left (strLine, 10)
Even in cases that strLine length was less than the index used to split the string, the program kept running.Now i am trying to do the same in VB.net, but since the strLine is not always bigger than the index used to break the string, it ives an error.I do not want to use try catch, because i will have very dirty and uselless code.
I was thinking something like resume next, but i guess it doesnt exist anymore.
IDE :: Remove WHERE Statement Than Results Return Fine As Expected

If I remove the WHERE statement than the results return fine as expected.But its returning ALL of the results which is no good.

Mar 30, 2009I am trying to calculate the number of years for my calculate age event handler, however i am apparently missing a method or whatnot because im trying to calculate the age , can anyone suggest help on this. I need to subtract years to get my age but when i try the birthdate.Subtract (currentDate) method i get an error about not able to convert from LONG?

Feb 27, 2009When a user selects the datetimepicker, or types in the date in the text box, the calendar then highlights that date (for instance 02/02/2009) and puts the date in the text box.
If the user deletes the date from the textbox and then selects the drop down arrow again to show the calendar, the 02/02/2009 date is still highlighted. The user can select a different date or type in a date (including the highlighted one) - no problem. But if they wanted to select the same date they deleted, they cannot. No error message, it just leaves the text box blank.
Yes, it's very rare that that happens and they can highlight a different date, then go back in and highlight the 02/02/2009 date in a matter of two clicks but they want it fixed .
Not sure how I go about getting the calendar to clear the highlighted date once it has been deleted from the textbox?
