VS 2008 Unable To Populate Listbox From Access Database?
Aug 19, 2010I have an accdb named base.accdb in the root folder of the program. Basically I have several tables in my database and I need to show their values in listboxes (essentially allowing menus to be edited by adding/removing items in the table)I can't figure out how to connect the database (according to my friends/classmates), and i can't figure out how to pull the information from the table.
Ultimately, it would be nice if someone could tell me how I can pull out the information into maybe an array? so that if i add 3 items into the table, then it will create 3 variables in the program and put the values from the table into those variables.

I am getting an error at the "Do While DMReader02.Read = True" line: "Invalid attempt to call Read when reader is closed." Why would the reader be closed at this point if I am using different DataReaders in the two loops?

Project Using VB And A Database In Access - Check If My Application Requires Access To Be Installed Or Not?
Feb 16, 2012I'm using VS 2010, and I did a project using VB and a database in Access. The problem is that when I try to put that "application" on other computers, sometimes, is not working. I thought it can be because on these computers they don't have access, but on one computer, is running another app which is using Access and there is no Access installed. How can I check if my application requires Access to be installed or not?
Here is a example of how I did the connection:
