Apr 6, 2009I have two listboxes. One for unselected bound to a datareader and one for selected. It can move all, some back and forth. I have the move buttons in an update panel and generate a report on a button click. I have this working fine. What I need to do now is color the items red or blue based on a third value from the datareader. Then add buttons to move all red >> / << or all blue >> / << Unfortunately, I can't post the code. I'm using VB.Net 2.0.

Oct 13, 2009I have a listbox populated with items which are the numbers 0-10. I need to know how to make the app transfer the selected items into 3 separate text boxes. First it should total the the cumulative values of the selected numbers & place that value into the 1st box. Then is should list the total number of items selected from the listbox & place that number into the 2nd box. And finally it should give me an average of the selected items, now this part I've got down, as I can input the first 2 numbers manually into the boxes & will get a correct response in the 3rd text box.
Here's what I have thus far on my code,

i want the following: there are four items in my listbox: Rood, Groen, Geel, Blauw (these are dutch for red, green, yellow, blue). and when i click one of these, the button (Kleurknop1) needs to get the right colour. but when i click it now, it just keeps getting green, no matter which one i click.

Apr 28, 2009I am using VB.NET (version 2008). I have two types of items populating in a listbox (checked listbox). For example: lets say one is type "A" and other is "Type B". Their names maybe same so if the user sees those items in listbox then he won;t be able to determine their type until he click on them and checks out its properties. I wanted that I add each item to listbox and colour them so that blue for example means type "A" is there and red means the other. So this way I will be able to know at a glance that how many item of what type is present. I guess it may not be possible to do that in a standard checkedlistbox. I am also using component factory's krypton controls which enhance the gui of an application. But I dunno if I can progress using that.

Adding Items To ListView In Separate Thread?
Jan 26, 2010For some reason, the following code is causing me some issues. This code pulls lockout status data from AD and contains the data within a datatable. An event is raised from the threaded procedure to add the data to a listview control. For some reason one row of data gets added to the listview control and when you run the procedure gain, 2 rows of the same data gets added, and then 3 rows, etc.
This code calls the procedure "CallGetUserLockout"

I am currently working on an assignment called "Douglas Resort Reservation" and we are supposed to select a query from the combo box Guest Search. For example, when I select Barb Allen, I get the info to display properly, which is good. But, I still have a problem.
When I try to click my button 'Prepare Invoice', I want Barb Allen's info to be displayed in my listbox 'Invoice'. But, now I don't have that complete. I have a whole list of items generated when I load my whole thing from my Form Load event from the textfile RESORT.TXT. I get a whole list of items instead of individualized items.
My question for you is: "How can I get just ONE name and person's information to show up?" when I press the button 'Prepare Invoice'.[code]...

I have one listbox that I want to populate with directories file's names. I don't mean the files inside the directories, but the names of the folders inside the directory.So, I have "c:empdog", I'd click on my button or whatever and search for the directory and I choose "temp", said listbox would show "dog".

Feb 23, 2012I created a telephone number form where the user enters the telephone number in a text box as (nnn) nnn-nnnn. The first 3 digits in parenthesis are the ISD code, the next three are the area code and the last four are the local number. I need to separate out these three fields of the phone number and display in three separate text boxes labeled appropriately. Now, suppose the user enters the phone number in a text box as a continuous string of 10 digits, where the first three represent the ISD code, the next three represent the area code and the last four represent the local number. Sep 17, 2010I have a TabControl object on my form with many tabs created in code (TabPages) and my problem is that the same objects that are in the initial TabPage needs to be in the other TabPages created in code, I have this done in code when the user clicks the 'New Tab' menu option, however the same code is used for any new tabs created. The problem created here is that I have an event against one of the objects that appear in the other TabPages, but because the same code is used to create any new tab pages, the event will only work on the newest tab page, if that makes sense? By the way these objects that appear on the other TabPages are properties at the top so events can be handled against them in the respective subroutine.

Possible To Have Separate Combo Boxes That Will Give Separate ID Values But Using Same Table?
Apr 30, 2010I'll get straight to my problem - I'm currently coding in Visual Studio.I have a table (countries) with the columns ID | Name. The table is filled with around 28 records.I also have a form with 4 combo boxes (set up as 1,2,3 & 4) that I want the user to select. These combo boxes will display the names from the table countries. I then want to use the selected names in the combo boxes to Insert into their corresponding ID into another table. For example England would have the ID 1, USA the ID 2 etc.So, is it possible to have separate combo boxes that will give separate ID values but using the same table? At the moment I can't seem to find a solution.Eventually the form will have more than 4 combo boxes so I don't want to use separate bindingsources for each combo box.
