Live Preview, Text Box To Label?

I know this is probably simple but I think I may be phrasing this wrong. I'm trying to make textbox text available as soon as it's entered on a label. The below code is what I used for a click event, which generates the info I want to see(I know a live preview would make a display button redundant, but our teacher requested both). If anyone can just tell me the proper terminology,

The preview on my program doesn't show how I would like it to, sometimes it's blank or not big enough for the whole screen, and other things.
I have 3 forms, one is of controls, one is a full transparent form that is just the outside edges with a blank middle, and one of is the background. Reason for this is setting background transparency, and the transparency(opacity) of the top bar of the form, so it will be transparent like vista is normally in xp.
I want it to show always the full form live view on the preview and I am not getting it to work with my 3 form as one form type program, but it works as expected with one form only, but I don't want this because I want individually set transparencies.

I would like to add a window preview function (live or not) to my application. Something like the mouse-over on the vista/7 taskbar. the only thing I have is the hWND to the program's main window.

I'm trying to find a way to have text that would be "Live" as in if a user types an incorrect phrase/letter in a text box, a message will appear prior to a "save" button being pressed. It's pretty much the same as when you're registering on these forums, it checks the availabilty of the username as you type it.

Basically, on my form, user can select different settings for a string they want to make. For example,
Take some random string
-Put #'s 1-9 before/after word
-Put hyphen before/after number
-Put underscore before/after word
So when user toggles with these options, how can I update a label based on what they choose and all? All I want to do is display an example string of the string they're trying to build using a variety of settings to make that string like adding numbers and other characters in different orders.

I have a program which writes to a .log file as it is installing software. Some of the lines will contain either WARNING or FAILED.
What I would like, is a window in my program which will read the .log file and display the content into this window as it is being written too. Any lines which contain WARNING or FAILED in them are highlighted yellow/red.

I have created an application which will open a text file on the click of a button, when i am running the application in local, I am able to get the popup asking to open or save the text file, I uploaded the same code to live site there it is not displaying the popup to open or save the text file. It just flashes a window for fraction of seconds and then closes, user is not able to perform any action in that course of time. Text document which I am trying to open is available at both server and local, and path is also correct in both cases.
Below is the code I am using to open the text file:

I have a form that I am loading text (strings) from a database into a label.text (so the text from the database shows up into the label) I have done this code in a class that keeps all my database stuff seperate.

I am basically making a quiz, so that when the form loads, question 1 is on there is 4 possible answers. You then press next button and it goes to the next question.

I am using a label to display a song for an mp3 player. I wanted to scroll the text inside the label for anything that is longer than the label width. I figured out the width of the label and if the width of the text inside the label is longer. But I have no idea how to turn this into subtracting parts/pixels of the text currently displayed and how to append the subtracted parts to the end of the new text.

I'm looking for a way to mirror text (like how Stack Overflow provides a preview of the text being entered, as it's being typed). I also need to be able to modify the texts output environment (whether it be a textbox/messagebox/etc.) for background/text color (selected from a dropdown menu). Suggestions on the best way to go about this? FYI I'm using Visual Web Developer 2008 Express and it's an aspx page.

basically i need to change the text of a label where the name of the label comes from the value of a variable.So, for example,
Dim x as String = "lblTarget"
Dim y as String = "Target Text"
In this case the text of "lblTarget" would need to be come "Target Text". Basically, the label that is named the value of variable x would need to take on the text of variable y.

Is there any way to detect if the text in a label is longer than the label itself (assuming autosize is set to false)? I want to trim the text in a label so the last line is a finished sentence (everything after that sentence is removed). I hope you understand what I mean.
I want to go from this:"Hello. This is a test string. Most test stri..."
to"Hello. This is a test string."
Is there any easy way to do this?

I want to make a database of all the xbox live arcade arcade games on the xbox live marketplace, I need to parse an xml file and add the needed data from the xml node into a datagridview.Here is the xml file i need to use to grab links and other data about the game:

Being the noob I am it took me about 6 hours to figure out how xml works and to write some code for what i need to do.
Here is what i came up with:

That code works fine.Now when i add another column to the datagridview called "update size" i want to know how to add the grabbed data from another sub i made to the new column.What would the code be for adding the strings for the new sub into the seconds column? the first was, DataGridView1.Rows.Add(str)" . So what would the second be ?Also another question i have is how do i put an image in an imagecolumn by a web link, not a local picture.

I am creating a Pizza Order program as part of my coursework college. why something isn't working.

I am having trouble adding label.text, datetimepicker.text and ComboBox1.Text into listview1 box.I have set up multiple columns, one for the label, one for the date and one for the combo box text. All i have done is:
ListView1.Items.Add(DateTimePicker1.Text)ListView1.Items.Add(TextBox1.Text)ListView1.Items.Add(ComboBox1.Text)
How do i add these in the different columns so that they are all in one single row.

I have a label that reads a random line from a text file and that string becomes the text for the label.
Now the problem; the label will only work if it is clicked because the event handler is click.What I need is this to work automatically at startup. In other words, it should change the label's text to the random string of the text file on startup of the application.

I cant seem to find any link or topic regarding my problem. I have 2 forms in a project, form one has labels and adjacent combobox while the other form (form 2)has textboxes with adjacent combobox. I am supposed to change the text property of the labels using textbox entry from form 2 and add/delete/change combobox contents in fom 1 using entries combobox at form 2.

I would like to know if there was a way to loop through all the checkboxes on a form and if the checkbox is checked then I need it to copy the text from the checkbox and the label. Thera are 23 of these labels with two checkboxes for each.I need to be able to paste this in notepad and have it formated as such

I am wondering if there is a simple way to make the text to speech occur after the updating of label.text
If I have the following:label.Text = "words words" voice.Speak(label.Text)
I would like the label on the form to display "words words" before it speaks. I'm a beginner with vb, and the only thing I could come up with was to use a timer. Just wondering if there's a simpler/more sophisticated solution.

What I'm trying to achieve here is, after I click the button, the label1.text should change to hello, and after that to world. But I couldn't achieve that. Instead when I click the button, it just paused for 5 second and displayed world.System.Threading.Thread.Sleep(5000) The code is just a dummy for a loop that I have.
