Management Always Wants More Features: Requesting Outlook Cleint To Open?

Jun 27, 2011

First good Monday to all and thanks for the suggestions on path I got it working somewhat.Problem: When a user clicks the comment button I would like outlook client to open so they can submit their comments. We run outlook client 2010 and exchange 2010 server. The Network Administrator is somewhat helpful but I am responsible for coding. Code specifics needed, did some research but not a lot of examples. I originally designed a cute little form with pages that folks could view to answer questions about how to use office software, the boss saw it and now they want more.

SQL - When I Open Up The Table In The Management Studio The Record Is Not There?

Jul 7, 2010

I am writing a program to record patient info for a local ambulance company. My problem is when a patient is added it does not write to the SQL server. When I open up the table in the Management Studio the record is not there. Here is the other thing that is weird to me. I open the program, add the patients info, clear the search box, type in their info and the record shows up. When I close and reopen the program I search the same record and nothing comes up. I tried redoing the string command, then thought maybe I needed to use parameters but that didn't work either.

Open Source Document Management System in .net? The reason for open source is that I would like to be able to integrate it into something else later on. I would also need it to be a desktop based system and not web based.

Open Outlook Message With Prefilled Subject, Attachment And Recipient?

Jun 11, 2012

Dim objOutlook As New Outlook.Application - CLS ID error
objOutlook = CreateObject("Outlook.Application") - ActiveX error
objOutlook = CreateObject("Outlook.Application", "localhost") - ActiveX error

I found a lot of threads in net, but nothing works for me (always same error on PCs of other developers too).

Change Registry Settings To Open Eml File From Web Pages In Outlook Express?

Jul 10, 2008

I couldn't find an appropriate forum which would suit the type of problem I am facing so I am putting it here.I needed to create an intranet web application that has pages with hyperlinks to eml files. The eml files as is known are email files in MIME format which outlook express can open. However what I found was if eml files are on your machine, it opens in outlook express but when opened as an hyperlink, it opens in Internet Explorer (IE) as an mhtml file. And any attachments that may be in the eml file are not displayed at all!I didn't understand why IE has to poke inbetween. After searching the net, I came across a solution that required changes in the Registry of the client machine.The change is to be made to the node HKEY_CLASSES_ROOTMIMEDatabaseContent Typemessage/rfc822.The following is a REG file that can be imported for this change.[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOTMIMEDatabaseContent ypemessage/rfc822]"extension"=".eml""CLSID"=""However after this change, though eml files opened in Outlook express, MHT files stopped opening in IE.Then I simply deleted the rfc822 node and to my surprise, MHT files opened in IE and eml files opened in outlook express and everything was fine!!But I don't want to use this sledge hammer solution. I want to know what this registry key is for and how can I set it to achieve what I want . i.e. open eml files from web pages in outlook express without affecting other file types

Determine If URL Exists Without Requesting The File?

Jan 25, 2010

I would like to check if a URL exists -- without requesting the file. The program needs to check if a PDF or Excel spreadsheet exists at a particular URL. If it does, it might want to download the file, but it should not download it every time.

I currently use the WebBrowser.Navigate method to do this, but it always downloads the file. But I don't want to actually download the .pdf or .xls file, I just want to determine if the URL exists.

The experiment consists of 8 phases that display on a single form but with different stimuli (pictures and text) being displayed on the form. So for example, at the top of the form would appear "dog" and below that in the center of the screen would appear the word "cat" and then the subject would select one of two option buttons, one being on the bottom left of the screen and one being on the bottom right of the screen.

One option button is labeled "Similar" and the other is labeled "Opposite". I also have corrective feedback displayed after each choice is made. Here are the things I have not figured out

Trying To Use 2008 Express To Export Outlook 2000 & Outlook 2003 Address Contacts Into Excel Or CSV File

Apr 20, 2009

I work for a somewhat large company.There are about 160 Windows XP Pro users. We are still using Microsoft Office 2000 for the most part.We have upgraded some users to Office 2003. We are not using Microsoft Exchange.I have to export every users' Outlook 2000 or Outlook 2003 Contacts into an Excel or CSV file every 6 months as a way of backing the Outlook Address Contacts.Currently I am doing this by physically going to every pc and manually exporting the contacts.This is a large pain.I am trying to find out if I can use or create a Visual Basic 2008 Express program or script that will export the contacts from Outlook and save it as an Excel or CSV file.The name of the file should be the same as the computers net name.It should be saved in the same location, on the network, each time.I am new to programming and new to VB 2008 Express.I do not know or have any code to start with.
