View 1 RepliesI'm getting desperate here trying to find the problem, and I don't know where to start looking for it.
Here are the symptoms:I've noticed, that when a user logs on in the morning, he is then immediately logged off, then when he logs on again, everything is fine and he can work on the site.
Every once in a while, when the user clicks a link, the page takes a lot of time to load, but it never actually loads, and the user is thrown to the login page.Also, after an Exception has occurred in the website, the user is then thrown to the login page. It's as if the exception clears somehow the session.

View 2 RepliesI can log into a website great using the webbrowser function then have the fields filled in and the submit/login pressed, i am now trying to do it so i don't need to use the webbrowser function, ideally what i intend doing is grab a piece of information once logged in.i have searched a lot and i know i need to use webRequest and webResponse for this, the part i'm having trouble with is how to deal with posting the actual data to the website, in the webbrowser way you can see the input fields filled in for you but i'm not sure how to post the data this way?

View 2 RepliesSo the exact site I'm trying to login to is GMail. I can send the POST data to login fine, but after that GMail performs an authentication (the redirect URL contains 'SetSID?'). Now with my HTTPWebRequest I don't see a way to enable support of HTTPs requests. Is there a way to get around this and successfully login?
View 4 RepliesI am trying to programmatically log error codes from any exceptions thrown on a PDA using CF3.5. Does anyone know how to get the most precise code for an error?
I've been looking at getting the HResult value of the thrown exception (which I can do), but this doesn't seem specific enough.
I've been trying to get login to work for my app to a website. I need to read data from that website to my app.
Here is the code block

My knowledge of VB.Net is quite limited and I'm trying to jump in at the deep end, I'm trying to log in to a website (a game in which I play) that requires a username and password, they must be submitted used the POST method and then I need to be able to view the source of the page to obtain further useful data.
This is what I have at the moment and it isn't working for me.
Function postRequest()
Dim s As String = ""
Dim username As String = txtUserName.Text
[Code].....
The last part and my application is complete. I am kind of familiar with HttpWebRequest, but not in terms of logging into this website. I've tried multiple things, I can't seem to find the right post methods from the HTML I think? Anyways, heres what I got.
[Code]...
I have a problem when trying to send a POST request. The sending method looks like this:
Public Sub SendXML(ByVal file As String)
Dim reader As New StreamReader(file)
Dim data As String = reader.ReadToEnd()
[Code]....
Now looking at this I suspected that it was due to the fact that the server does not accept POST messages. But some other reading suggests that the the URI [URL] has been generated with a proxy and should be /Request so the line should read POST /Request HTTP/1.1
So what would be the common reason for this? And if it is a proxy problem, how is it sorted?
As asked below, I have created a new question for the more specific request. Changing absolute URI to relative in HTTP POST header
I have a script returns a string:
[URL]
PHP script:
$data = $_GET['q'];
$query = "SELECT * FROM `table` WHERE ID = '$data'";
$result = mysql_query($query);
[Code].....
[code] I'm trying to post data on these two TextBoxes using HttpWebRequest method , Blow is the post data string [code] So when i send this request to the website , It only post the password but not the name , There's something causing conflict with the word name either 'name="name"' this line or something else.

I am adding a web interface (ASPX.NET: VB) to a data acquisition system developed with LabVIEW which outputs raw data files. These raw data files are the binary representation of a LabVIEW cluster (essentially a structure).LabVIEW provides functions to instantiate a class or structure or call a method defined in a .NET DLL file.I plan to create a DLL file containing a structure definition and a class with methods to transfer the structure.When the webpage requests data, it would call a LabVIEW executable with a filename parameter. The LabVIEW code would instantiate the structure,populate the structure from the data file, then call the method to transfer the data back to the website.
How do you recommend I transfer (copy) an instance of a structure from one .NET program to the VB.NET program that executed it?
Consider a MyForm class that contains a shadowed implementation of Show(). It also contains a CreateForm() method, which accepts an instance of the form and calls the shadowed sub:
