.net - Logging Off On ASP.NET 3.5 Website?

Jul 19, 2010

I'm getting desperate here trying to find the problem, and I don't know where to start looking for it.

Here are the symptoms:I've noticed, that when a user logs on in the morning, he is then immediately logged off, then when he logs on again, everything is fine and he can work on the site.

Every once in a while, when the user clicks a link, the page takes a lot of time to load, but it never actually loads, and the user is thrown to the login page. Also, after an Exception has occurred in the website, the user is then thrown to the login page. It's as if the exception clears somehow the session.

Asp.net - Automatic Resending Of Page Information

Dec 30, 2011

I've added this code to the master page page_load event to prevent caches. (got it from random sources.)

HttpContext.Current.Response.Cache.SetExpires(DateTime.UtcNow.AddDays(-1))
HttpContext.Current.Response.Cache.SetValidUntilExpires(False)
HttpContext.Current.Response.Cache.SetRevalidation(HttpCacheRevalidation.AllCaches)
HttpContext.Current.Response.Cache.SetCacheability(HttpCacheability.NoCache)
HttpContext.Current.Response.Cache.SetNoStore()

After processing information in the masterpage, say, adding two numbers and displaying the sum, when i navigate away from the masterpage and want to go back using the browser's back button, the resend dialog box appears with 'resend' and 'cancel' buttons. clicking resend loads the masterpage together with its previous information(the sum), and cancel does nothing, What i am trying to do is to hide or disable the dialog box and automatically select 'resend' so that when the user clicks the browser's back button he is automatically redirected to the previous masterpage without the dialog box appearing.

VS 2008 Saving Automatic Login Information?

Dec 6, 2009

I am trying to create a program that will have an option to automatically log you into a couple sites when you press the Start button. I have a separate form that you can open and put in your Username and Password for each site. There is a button that when you press it it is supposed to write to a file (C:DesktopAccounts.txt) you username and password so that when it is opened again you will not have to type them again. I had it working perfectly until I added some code so that it will remember if you had the check box checked and have the text box as read only (if check box is not checked). I even tried deleting the new code but it still will not write to the file, but it can read from it if I put the information in manually.

.net - ASP.NET - Send Information To Website?

The user submits their email address using this webpage. What I am trying to do now is take the information submitted by the user and go to another website. Where my "website/program" gives the different website the entered email address, and clicks the submit button.

If I where to physically go to the different website, there would be a textbox to enter the email. But since I am accessing the website from my page "behind the scenes" I cant manually enter their email address. Is it possible to do this, if so how? Also, my code behind is in VB.

Copy Information Of Website Into Excel?

Mar 31, 2011

I have had a few programming courses in college, but I'm far from a VB expert. I work at a bank and I want to copy information off of webpages and put it into an Excel worksheet. I created a macro that automatically opens up Internet explorer -- but really what I need is a subroutine (or a method) that copies information from 1.1Million records / screens and places the information into MS Excel. There are 1.1M records, so ideally-- I like it to copy all information over a weekend and come in on Monday and be done. At the very least, I would like a macro that can run off of a shortcut and copy all information on a webpage and puts information into each respective cell. Ie. copies the name field and puts into the name cell in Excel... address field into the address cell in Excel.
