I would like to retrieve the first "Price" of the item and collect the price every time I execute the code.I understand how to retrieve the source code of the webpage and split strings but how would I retrieve that price?
My problem:
Given a list of DLL paths, find their version number and all assemblies referenced. Some may point to the same DLL but with a different path or version.

View 1 RepliesI'm helping the IT department at my school do an audit of all our printers (there are hundreds). They are all networked, so I wrote a vb.net program that sends PJL (printer job language) commands over port 9100 to all the printers to retrieve the page count. @PJL INFO PAGECOUNT actually gets the page count for all the printers, but for color printers we also need to know the color / mono page counts (number of color pages printed, number of black and white pages printed).... the number being returned by the PAGECOUNT command right now seems to be the total pagecount on color printers, so if I can find a command that will give me either the mono or color page count, I'll have the other number. I also need the serial number of every machine (the spreadsheet I'm working off of is unreliable). @PJL INQUIRE SERIALNUMBER actually returns the serial number for about half of the HP printers, and some random non-HP ones, but I can't figure out a way to get the serial number for the other 50%. I sent emails to some of the people who wrote the articles about PJL I was following, and they advised I try using printer spooler functions (from my brief google search it would appear these are windows API's that facilitate communication with a printer).
Does anyone have any experience with working with the Printer Spooler functions or know a PJL command I might have overlooked that will help me get any of the info I'm looking for?here is my program right now. Ignore GetSerialNumber2 and GetSerialNumber3... they don't work (well actually GetSerialNumber2 works on 5 printers... but yea). GetSerialNumber() is the one that gets the serial number successfully for about half of the printers. (edit: I took out those functions in the version I posted, along with some other stuff that wasn't needed for this, to fit the post size limit)
Right now i have a form in the VB where there are 2 combobox in it. user can choose from a range of products that comes together with some description and these are to be stored in a database table.. when i retrieve these data from another form in VB, i'm only able to retrieve the first product and it repeat e same product in my second textbox.

After processing information in the masterpage, say, adding two numbers and displaying the sum, when i navigate away from the masterpage and want to go back using the browser's back button, the resend dialog box appears with 'resend' and 'cancel' buttons. clicking resend loads the masterpage together with its previous information(the sum), and cancel does nothing, What i am trying to do is to hide or disable the dialog box and automatically select 'resend' so that when the user clicks the browser's back button he is automatically redirected to the previous masterpage without the dialog box appearing.
I have inputs for 7 textboxes for inputs, how would i make a summary page holding the information from the textboxes. What i would like to do is enter all the information then hit a summary button to display all those inputs.

View 1 RepliesIf it is at all possible, I would like to print a page that is layed out with labels filled with text from previousley stored information from the program. now, obviousley, because the text can change in amount, and so the labels need to be able to change in size, and if at all possible allow multiple lines, though if there is no way to do it, then an unchagable text box would serfice.
There is a problem though, the fact that the labels will be changing size means that the position of the labels needs to be variable to the previouse. Example: the box above needs to be bigger, so the box bellow needs to drop down equall to the amount that the above grows.

However, I can't seem to reference that text field through the javascript, since the form begins on the master page. The following line will come up bogus: document.form1.txtFindUser.value = blah.responseText; This is because form1 is defined on the master page, while txtFindUser is on the current page.

Does anyone know why a Page_Load would be called twice on a page when requesting an aspx page?I am using .Net 2.0 with the new .net 1.1 compilation model installed. Whenever I request a page, the Page_Load on the aspx page appears to be called twice, so does the Page_Load on and user controls added to that page.

The issue is as my code hits PageLoadStage of "2" and runs the QueryDatabase() Function i am encountering an error of: "OleDB exception unhandled: No value given for one or more of the required parameters." This occurs on line 15 of the first code snippet. Can anyone explain this and/or identify any code issues if that is the cause.

I have a text box where i am entering numbers of double datatype andon the Keytdown event of the textbox some checks take pace and in certain circumstances I want to be able to stop the user from entering other information until they enter the right information in the textbox (where it says right here) . now when I say exit sub the textbox somehow loses focus . but this is not how I want it to be I want the textbox to remain with the focus so the user can change the information . How can i go about this. And the other thing is why is my txtDestPayRate1.Focus() just befor the exit sub not working?

I am designing a backup/restore utility for work.atm i have been able to populate field for PC name, IP address, MAC address, number of printers installed on the PC but i am wondering is it possble to get all the printer information 'with the click of a button' to print all information like the prnmngr.vbs script down.I am able to run a batch file but i wanna get it to go from that app or even embed to batch file to the app and run it form there .
