I have a rich textbox with words in it separated by space characters. I want to create a mouseover event so that when I drag the cursor over a single word in the rich textbox that the word wil be highlighted grey. How do I set up the mouse over event to trigger whilst hovering above this specific control and do I make it recognize a stand alone word,

I have two custom action listers. One that handles Mouse.Click and one that handles Mouse.MouseDown. My question to you is, can I delay the mouse down event so that it does not intefere with the code of the Mouse.Click event? I have tried adding a timer and waiting x amount then setting a bool value to true, but the code executes to fast and it skips the other code.
View 6 RepliesWhat im trying to do is when the mouse is over the picturebox then the SIDES of it highlight. And if you click on the picture box. The WHOLE picturebox highlights. I made 2 other images for those effects.
My problem is when i put my cursor over the control the sides don't highlight. Only if i click it. But then my other picturebox set for that effect doesnt appear.

I have a form1 with a splitcontainer. I have put a button on the left panel, whenever user click the button, form2 will be displayed in the right panel.The question now is, i am not allowed to highlight the textbox in form2 with mouse. But i still can use the keyboard to highlight.

I am trying to make a list, separated by a comma, of entries from a single column in a SQL database. I have been spending the last several days searching for a way to do this, but every thing I found either didn't work, or wasn't exactly what I was looking for.
The query will pull all the email address that are not null. What I need to know is how to take the result of that query and make it look like this:
email0@address.com, email1@address.com, email2@address.com, etc, etc, ...

I have set the controls mouse enter and mouse leave events. My problem is that the mouse leave event fires if I mouse over any of the child controls (like the name box for example).What I need is for the mouse leave event to fire when my mouse leaves the entire control, rather than firing when I mouse over any of the child controls. I'm having problems with getting a rich text box control in vb.net to automatically wrap text to a new line when text is "loaded" from a text or rich text file that was created with an editor such as wordpad. Both the multiline and wordwrap properties are set to true. Also the RightMargin property is set to the width of the rich text box control minus 20.
It seems as though the word wrap function only works when I'm typing text into the rich text box. But I need it to work when I'm loading text from a file in the format of .rtf or .txt that was created with a text editor such as notepad or wordpad.

Set up a form with 4 rows of pictures boc controls. when a start button is clicked the mouse is "behind" one of the buttons while a stop image is behind 3 other picture boxes. The object of the game is to click the correct picturebox that contains the mouse. If the stop image appears before the mouse then the game is over. I don't understand how the logic works.
