For rich textbox in vb.net i want to have single border line. Fixed single and Fixed 3D are having some dimensional effect which i do not want. And i would also like to change the color of the border.
And same thing with the button, for them how to have single line border and specified color.
how do I change the border color and border width of textbox as something shown below
If it is mouse hover I need to display one colour and on mouse down I need to display another colour.

However if I assign the TextBox.Text value to a string variable and then re-assign the variable back to the TextBox.Text property, the line break characters are lost and replaced with a square character (can't past them here as they just paste as a line break!)

I did some thinking and come up with the idea "if textbox1.text ="hej" then" set a color but then I realized the whole text would become to coded text, hmm..
So, I'm trying to make a RichTextBox which makes seperate words colored as you type them (like in Visual Studio itself ).The problem is, it's absolutely not working as I want and absolutely not the same as in Visual Studio.It's constantly running over the code each 500 milliseconds (by a timer), bugging the focus and selecting the words you want to be colored quickly.
Also, when you have something selected in the textbox,it constantly unselects when it runs over the code again (tried to fix that, but failed).So, can please someone improve this code (a lot, it's coded really bad ) so the user doesn't notice the words are getting colored?I put the words into an array with a different array containing the colors of the string array on the same index (Sorry for my "not so good" english.. But I'm sure you understand it ).

The query will pull all the email address that are not null. What I need to know is how to take the result of that query and make it look like this:

View 2 RepliesI've a winforms application that is using SQLite database. There is no encryption on the database (data has to be shared with other user). It is a stand alone application with a stand alone local database.
The difficulty I'm encountering is when people go to bring all the data together.The databases are attached, data imported, but records are differentiated by a database GUID.At any rate I am desiring to have a database selection screen that is protected by a password to prevent users mistakenly switching databases (and some level of protection against malicious use).
Thinking it's probably not a particularly good idea to store the password in an unecrypted database.Security is not a large issue as this is only distributed to users that need the software.
What would be the best method to have the user type a password when they attempt to access the database selection screen? ShowDialog? Pop open a new child form with a password TextBox, then on validation (via button?) close the password form and open the protected form?I see a fair bit about protecting a whole application, but not so much about a specific form.

I have created a windows form with a crystal reports viewer, a combo box to select a report to view, and a button that I would like to (Print All Reports). I have a form that I want to keep the border on, but no titlebar.An example is a form with FormBorderStyle set to FixedSingle, then set the Form's Text to nothing. This is what I'm after, however, I want to maintain the "Blue" styling of Windows XP. When doing this, it currently makes the form gray like it stops using visual styles.is there any way to get the blue "Single" border around my form without the Titlebar?
