Jan 3, 2012I'm using VS2010 with a mdb database. I would like to open a new form and fill it with the last added data in the database. I tried to use the "BindingNavigatorMoveLastItem" from the tooltip toolbar but i can't get this to work.
Is there anyone that can tell me the easy way to move to the last record in the database?

Record Deletes From Dataset On Form But Not From Database
Aug 28, 2010Frontend: Visual Basic.Net VS: VS 2010 .net Framework: 4.0 Backend: MySQL 5.0. Everything is working well, add/edit/save. I am using datasets to manipulate the database the forms are created by wizard and i drag and drop the details over the form. The Problem: I delete a record on the form, it disappears (it deletes it from dataset i think) but i go to the database it is still there also if i close the form and re-open it the records re-appear.
There is something i do but it raises an error, after deleting the records i hit the save button,the following comes up. Transaction has already been rolled back or is not pending after that the records are really deleted.

Mar 11, 2010On my form I have a datagridview which is bound to a 'Supplier' table in Access 2003. Once I click on a record on the DataGridView, textboxes below which are also bound to the same source are automatically populated with the relevant data. What I want is when I click update, that the records in the database are updated as well as the dataset but what happens is that the dataset is updated, I invoke the tableadapater.update method but no permanent changes are made to the database.

Oct 27, 2009I am handling many of the BindingNavigator tasks (MoveFirst, MoveNext, etc.)in code to ensure that I always ask the User to save his changes.
The one area I am have a problem is PositionItem. I would like to sense that the User has changed the Record Number in the BindingNavigatorPositionItem, handle my record Update, and move to the Record Number the User entered I have looked all over and have not found any way to do this.

I need to take any one row,and make it the "default" (on a button click), meaning to take that row and stick it right at the top so it comes up first.I've been up and down the web for a few days looking at ideas, but I can't get around this one. Do I create a new row at the top, then have it copy the info over, then delete the old row, or is there a cleaner way of doing it? Does anyone have a code snippet they'd like to share

When I loop through the dataset the the latest record is returned but latest headline link is not displayed. So the outputted HTML is the same headline everytime, which is the first record in the dataset. How do I move to the next record in the data set and get the outputted HTML to display the next/correct headline?

My problem is that it goes to the same record everytime if I didnt update my due date. I just want to go to the next record if am not updating it.
