I wan to be able to output custom sounds mp3's to applications like chatroulette. I can either do that be a 'virtual microphone' and then select it in chatroulette (like an iso is an virtual cd drive). Or by outputting the mp3 to the wave in with NAudio. This doesn't seem to work (as in DOES compile, DOES Excecute, but the recorder doesnt show any sounds).

I Would like to make an appliaction in c# (or vb.net) that records every sound that comes out from the speakers when i tell it to, and when im finished i want to push a button and save it as an mp3 (or some other format).
So far i have only found APIs that can record something from a microphone.
Is there anything in the .NET framework or is there some API for making this possible?
I'd like to ask assistance for the following scenarios below:
1. I want to check whether certain applications are already running or not.
2. The applications i need to check are the ff:
a. MS Word
b. MS Excel
c. Notepad
d. MS Project
e. MS Powerpoint
3. If any of these are running, the window title of that application will be filled-in in a listbox.

I'm interested in building my own basic Application controller and ditching the Application Framework entirely.Never done this before (or even considered it) but now I'd like to be able to cut out anything that stands in the way of making my App compatible with both DotNET and Mono, for which Microsoft.VisualBasic.ApplicationServices is pretty famous.I start, or links to sample Main Modules for WinForms online? If I separate the code into two applications the retrieval fails. Any thoughts on how to set the object to the clipboard in one app and get it back in a second one? [code]
View 3 Repliesim still fairly new to this. i have written a program, built it and created my setup project and can install it no problems, however, in the "setup view" where you have the threefolders "Application folder" "Users Desktop" and "Users Programs menu" ... u know "the file system view/setup1" ... well here is the problem, i click on "Application folder" and change the "default location" ... so i can specify the program is installed in "C:ProgramFilesJohns AppCalculator" ...... BUT when i build the setup and install the program it does not appear in this location !! arghh i can see all the program files on my pc ... except mine ( i have tried all day and all night the only way i can get it to appear here is by INCLUDING the "project output" into THIS folder ..... even though i only want it to be on the "users desktop" ....

What I am trying to do: There are three powershell scripts with different time delays as shown below.I am trying to run them asynchronously in .NET and I followed this article to implement Asyncrhonous programming. Where I am stuck:The I am not able to retrieve output after the events are invoked.The scripts are being called but then the program ends and it shows "Press any key to continue" in console windows.I don't what I am missing here.

it plays the sound once then will not play any other sound at all.
Turns out, visual basic cant play wav files under 100 kb :S, just needed to edit my wav file with audicity to extend it and increase its size.

View 2 Repliesi have a little project I have been working on over the past few days just a simple piano project, during making it I used directx sdk To allow me to play multiple wav files at the same time. everything worked out great got the piano working and was able to play some sound effects while I banged out a master piece on the piano . So the next step was to make an exe file , I knew that once I used directx sdk I might run into a problem when trying to make an exe to run on all my PCs that dont have directx sdk installed on them .
My question is it possible to make an exe that will allow my program to run on any pc even without directx sdk installed?

View 3 RepliesI was transferring a lot of controls from one form to another and somehow along the way I ended up with a lot of "extra" controls and apparently when you do this they don't retain their Names so they are all default-type names (Label1, Textbox1, etc)I can see them all listed in the properties window dropdown box, but they are not on the form.
