In each employee id I will find it in database in retrieve all the details information and print it using crystal report. What I want is in each employee id it will print in separate pages.Currently using my code, the records of other employee id will append on the current page instead to print in another page with new header and footer. Jul 14, 2009I have a crystal report that works in Crystal Reports Writer XI just fine. I run the report in the application passing the same information that I use to test in the CR Writer and the report is completely blank. No exceptions what so ever are raised in the application.I've opened the report in VS2008 and resaved it and verified the database and still nothing. I have two different versions of the report. The report is using stored Procs and I have verified that it is loading the report because it is accepting the parameters I setup in the report. If I change the name of the parameter I'm saving to something invalid it then throws an error.

Jun 21, 2010I am working in vb.net, visual studio 2008, with the crystal reports that comes with it. I have a push model: creating a dataset, putting data into it, making that a report source, and putting the report source onto (or into) a crystal reports viewer control (not neccessarily in that order). It works -- for the first page that's displayed.That report has two pages. If I click on the control to go to the 2nd page (where I have no data displayed yet), then on the control to come back to the first page, it displays with no data -- just the background text is there.I can see my dataset-loading code executing in the debugger, and as near as I can tell the database is no longer giving me back any data

Dec 1, 2009I need advise on how to solve this scenario. I am not sure whether I should use any Report Application such as Crystal Report or I can just simply use datagridview.My scenario:In a new form, a table will show a least 3 columns.
First, ItemID
2nd, Total Quantity Sold for the Current Month
3rd, Total Quantity Sold: Last month
ItemID Current (Nov) October
ABA1 100 85
ABB1 80 90
Hence, I can compare the figure of the current month with the past few month.Right now, I do not have any problems building SQL_String for calculating the Total Qty Sold for the Current month and display it via DataGridView. But I am not sure how to additional column that calculate the Total for the past few month

Feb 19, 2009I am trying to convert a VB6 Data Report (.dsr file) to a Crystal Report through the migration process within Visual Studio. I have read articles that reference adding a Data Report to a Project from Visual Studio 2005/2008 and that it will convert the Data Report to a Crystal Report, but I have not been successful in doing so. Does the VB6 Data Environment need to be converted too? Has anyone been able to do this successfully and if so, how?

Aug 28, 2009I am trying to figure out how to export a crystal report into a PDF file from an ASP.NET application. I got it to work, however, I want the group tree to show up as bookmarks in the PDF. From what I've found on google, the way to do this is to declare an instance of the CrystalDecisions.Shared.PDFFormatOptions class, then set the GroupTree property to true.However, this class does not seem to exist. I don't know if its because I am using Crystal Reports for Visual Studio 2008 or what, but it is not there. There is a class called CrystalDecisions.Shared.PdfRtfWordFormatOptions, however, the GroupTree property does not exist in this class.

May 18, 2011We are using VB.NET 2010 with Crystal Reports to generate reports for our project. The reports are filled from Data Sets that are filled from Arrays. As far as that goes all is working great.Where we are running into a headache is when we try to total up a specific column in the generated report. We have created a Group called EMPLOYEE that creates grouping by employee name. We cannot seem to figure out the necessary steps to get our AMOUNT column (Numerical field) to total in the EMPLOYEE group or anywhere else for that matter. No luck with Google (may not know what to look for...) no luck here and no luck with my CR book...

Feb 1, 2012I want Number of cartons and Pieces currently available in the stock that are about to expire in next 30 days and this is calculated based on expiry date...I have used formula field on crystal report to calculate current stock like "stock.crtns_added - stock.crtns_removed" and "stock.pieces_added - stock.pieces_removed"....Now I want to group by item name, category and expirydate because based on these three columns there can be more than 1 entries in the database....I want that when there are more than one entries the formula should sum up all the cartons and pieces for same item of a category with same expiry date and on report it should display just 1 line showing available cartons and pieces that are about to expire
How can i do this?? How can I apply group clause on the formula field in crystal report to get sum of cartons or pieces for each item based on expiry date??
