Null DateTime Value In DataRow?

I am having trouble setting a datetime column in a datarow to null or MinValue and updating the database row using a DataAdapter update command.In one scenario, if the value in a text box is not a valid data, I set the value in the datarow = DateTime.MinValue. The value returned by MinValue is #12:00:00 AM#. An error is thrown on the Update command "SqlDateTime overflow.Must be between 1/1/1753 12:00:00 AM and 12/31/9999 11:59:59 PM."
In another scenario, an error is not thrown but the DateTime value on the row is not changed.The database column allows nulls and I can set the value to null using a SQL update command.

Using VS2005, VB.Net, Dot Net 2.0, SQL Server 2000. If have some Columns (varchar and numbers) in a DataRow that I want to set to DBNull in the database. The fields as defined as Nullable in SQL DB table.
I have some fields that are populated when loaded but I want to update to be null using the ADO.Net data objects. If I try and use Row("FieldName") = DBNull.Value a 0 gets written to number fields (not sure what gets written to varchar fields.) What code should be used to update fields to Null using ADO.Net dataobjects?

I there a way to set up my DataTable so a field (or all fields can allow nulls if you can't set just 1 field) so oIDbDataAdapter.Fill won't leave out DataRows where a field contains a null value?

I am looping through the rows of a DataRowCollection and assigning the fields of each row to a variable. I always get "Input string was not in a correct format" no matter how I cast this. I'm pulling in a datarow with a datatime that may already have a value. This is NOT being loaded in to a date picker. Based on another condition this field may need to be returned to a NULL state and the datarow saved back on the SQL2005 DB. I am working on a new ASP.Net 4.0 data driven app. In the DAL I check for NULL values on all my data and default to the proper data when NULL. I have a strange issue going on. Two dates are coming back - on one I need the time only. The First line of code for the full date works without fail - but the second line of code errors pointing to the format string but the strange part is that it errors on NULL values which does not use the format string and just returns Date.MinValue. When the second line gets data it formats the return correctly.

I have a date time picker bould to a Nullable Datetime field in a sql server datatable. The ShowCheckBox option is set to true. If the user unchecks the checkbox on the datetimepicker I would like to the field to be set back to null in the DataTable. The default behaveour does not seem to do this and there is no specific event for the uncheck.

I have a datetimepicker and combobox on my form. If a user does not change the date on dtpicker or does not change text on combo box, these controls return null value, and the save operation fails. The controls are bound to data in a database.

I have two datatables with similar structures that I want to make one existing row to be updated from another datatable.
For example, "tableA" has three columns: "one", "two", and "three"; with "one" being the primary key...
and "tableB" has three columns as well: "one", "two", and "three"; with "one" being the primary key.
Say there is a row on tableA that is different than a row on tableB (with a matching primary key). What I wanted to do, as efficiently as possible, is to take the that row from tableB and replace the one on tableA so it'll be modified.
I'm not sure if there's an easier way of doing that instead of using loops for setting the row's items.

I try to compare Datetime.Now with a Datetime variable I set, using the Datetime.CompareTo() method. I use a timer to compare these every second and display the result, but as the current time approaches the time I set, the result changes from 1 to -1, but never 0, which means these two are never equal. I'm suspecting the Datetime structure contains milliseconds?

Which is inside a class which overrides a custom list base. The code is occassionaly throwing an unhandled exception, System.NullReferenceException, on this line when used in production:

DeafultSKUBinID is declared as an Integer? (Nullable Int) in the PurchaseDelivery class. I cannot see what might be causing this error, why would this be returning an error?

When I put a break point to the last if clause in the sub ("If (backOrder < 0) Then", see below) it runs until the break point, if I put the break point further below, I get the following error:
Cannot insert the value NULL into column 'OrderID', table 'WHM.dbo.OrderDetails'; column does not allow nulls. INSERT fails. The statement has been terminated.
I've discovered first hand that it only happens when prodqty is bigger then qtyOnStock, thus executing the if clause.

I have a form with a datetimepicker. On load of the form, I set the value of the dtp from a datarow, with the following vb.net dtpRequiredDate.Value = dr.Item("RequiredDate")
This works fine. But when the form is loaded subsequent times in the session (form is not disposed on closing, shown as dialog), when presented to the user it just shows todays date, not that set by the above code. Stepping through code, the Onload code runs, and the dtp is set by the above code. Checking the value in debug at this point, the value of the dtp is correct. There is no further code in onload. But by the time it is displayed to the user shows todays date again. I have set a break point on the valuechanged of the dtp but it never fires again after it has been set by the above code.

I am trying to add new operators (their name, category, password etc) to a dataset called "operators". (Though I could be adding any new datarow to it's relevent dataset). My program has allowed for the entry of all relevent data and filtered it to make sure it is acceptable. The user has pressed the UPDATE button and my program must now add the new datarow. (My code is in bold!).
I assume that I must first establish a connection to my database, so I start with :-
