Parameters In VS 2008 - Error - "Parameter '?PassVar' Has Already Been Defined."

Problem after converting a VB.NET program to VS 2008.
In my old form app I used the following code with no problems:
Code:...myCommand.Parameters.Add("?PassVar", varval)...VB.NET then told me that the "add" reference was outdated and to use "addwithvalue"
Code:...myCommand.Parameters.AddWithValue("?PassVar", varval)...
However, I now have the problem when I loop the code string I get the following error: "Parameter '?PassVar' has already been defined.". I never had this problem before I upgraded.

I'm creating a tool using windows form which needs to retrieve data from an Oracle database configured to use odp.net using an Oracle Stored Procedure. I'm planning to use the code below for some basic testing. The Stored Procedure is made up of a number of OUT parameters, some of which have been mapped using the datatypes available in .NET, however other parameters are defined as tables (I guess lists) and i'm not sure how to access this data

i've got a database with a table called Customers, and i've created a form so that i can edit the customer details and update the database. However when i click the update button, it doesn't work and keeps coming up with the error which i've put in the title.

I have an object, called 'PERSON' This person object has a title, firstName & Surname property as well as many other which are at the moment irrelevant. It also has a read only property called Fullname which concatenates the two or three parameters mentioned above depending on an optional parameter 'withTitles' passed over when you call PERSON.FULLNAME
PERSON.FULLNAME(true) <- Will add titles if there are any
PERSON.FULLNAME(false) <- Will give the name without the title
Public ReadOnly Property FullName(Optional ByVal withTitle As Boolean = False) As String

I get an error: PERSON does not contain a property of 'FullName'. If I change this to any other property that does not take a parameter it works as expected. Now I'm guessing that the binding procedure can't handle optional or mandatory parameters for object properties, is this right? Is there a better way to do it? I thought about looping through the collection to add them manually but that kinda defeats the object of DataBinding!

I am using VB.Net 2008 Express and trying to build a favorites list for a webbrowser I am working on.I get an invalid parameter error on the line that reads favicon = image.FromStream(stream).[code]the urls are stored in an array after they are taken from an xml file.I checked the url that was being used when the error occurs and it seems fine. I can even navigate to it in IE.The error I get is that "stream" is an invalid parameter, at least that is where it points to.It also shows that stream is a type System.NET.ConnectStream.Stream was originally set to System.IO.Stream.I don't know if this is a problem but it processes several urls before it gets to this one.I am wondering if this may be a permissions issue and the site is blocking the WebRequest or if it is something else.

Visual Basic 2008 rookie question. I am getting the error message 'Error 1 The item "objDebugCIT163Lab1Cdrb.WeatherReport.resources" was specified more than once in the "Resources" parameter. Duplicate items are not supported by the "Resources" parameter.CIT163Lab1Cdrb'when I debug. I am familiar with Visual Studio 2008 having used it for my previous C# course. With vb.net I would like to select 4 cells in Excel and then pass those cell values along with 1 button tag to a formula in Excel.I press a button with a month, say "May" as text. I want to grab a cell in Excel labeled "May1t" the value of which is the number of hours until may. This is the code I'm using.

I want to pass this cell (which will be updating as the time counts down) and 3 other similarly specified cells along with the button tag to an Excel formula.I have something like this:

i have 2 computers - a Server and a Client pc which is running on local area network with MICROSOFT SQL SERVER 2008 R2 Developer kit at the main pc and Client computer will need to connect to SQL SERVER at main pc using connection string.Let me named server computer as 'MAGNA-PC' and the client pc as 'LAC-PC' and database name is 'db_referafriend' so the code for MAGNA-PC(server) connection string is:[code] i GOOGLE and YOUTUBE for almost 2 weeks before i post . I've got the web browser with tabs in all working fine, but there's one bug, i can add tabs, delete em, etc.. but when i delete a tab then go to create a new tab, it gives me the error: InvalidArgument=Value of '6' is not valid for 'index'. Parameter name: index '6' is the number of tabs i had open.Here's the bit of code i use to create the tabs with the browser in it:
