Passing Simple XML Data From A Controller To A View?

I am writing my first MVC application, and struggling with how best to pass data from my controllers to my views. I have a very simple XML document structured like this. (Yes, this is Magic: The Gathering data)
<setlist>
<set>
<name>Alara Reborn</name>
<block>Shards of Alara</block>
<cards>145</cards>

But I get an Object Block or With Block error when trying to access SelectSingleNode("block") on the second "set" node, since that node doesn't have a "block" node.I also have a feeling that the way I'm approaching the view is all wrong. Is there a better way to get this simple XML data into the view so I can work with it?

I should probably mention that my .aspx file is in another project than the web app. I build everything into a dll then put that into a folder in my web app project. The error I am getting is "The view '~/Views/Demo/Index.aspx' or its master was not found or no view engine supports the searched locations. I am wondering what I am missing in the attached code that is making it impossible for me to make the VB.NET program below work using MVC (Model-View-Controller). Right now, I am really lost despite my best efforts...

I have built an application a while back and now think that performance would benefit from a MVC approach, so I am looking into that. If I were going to do this, I would need the controller to be able to replace itself. That seemed like it may be a problem, so I created a Hello World application to test it. Here's the

I have 2 questions:Will the 'old' controller objects still be in memory? Seems this could be a serious memory management issue after a lot of changes. It was my own decision to implement the factory in a module. My examples did not do this.

I've got an .aspx page with this in it:

And I have an AssetController class:

What gives? I don't understand why I can use this controller everywhere in our ASP.NET Forms/MVC hybrid application, but not in a view.
EDIT: In fact, when I type <% System.Web. into the .aspx view, Mvc doesn't even appear in Intellisense!

I have an MVC application where all the data is tied together by VisitDate table in my database. The home page is a strongly typed view of type VisitDate, all it does is pull up some simple data. Now, here's where I'm having a problem. I need a link that passes the current model in the view back to a separate controller action so I can render a different page with different data. Im using a datatable and i am trying to do a insert statement into an oracle database by passing selected values from the datatable to the insert statement via parameters. I'v traced the parameter collection and it has the correct number of parameters to be passed but it is giving me an error saying a value being passed in is null but it is not, during debug you can clearly see the value of the parameter is not null.

I have a table with several rows of data that I need to return to the controller. In my view, I initially load the table by selection of a time period and clicking a button. The table loads all my relevant records but one of my table cells contains a dropdown list. So I should be able make a selection in the dropdown click "update" and my controller saves the changes.
So everything works until I try and save. The model that is sent to the controller is completely null. The list property I have tied to the table cells returns to the controller null.

In VB.NET 2005. i am trying to experiment with sound. I started out trying to produce a single note at a single left-right position, for a particular duration (maybe until i shut it off. with a particular frequency.It can be a sine wave, or a square wave or maybe a general midi sound. This seems to me to be a simple task, but i cannot find out how to do this.I suspect that the answer lies inside direct sound or xaudio2. I want a simple solution i don't want to have to spend 1600 hours learning xaudio2 in order to learn how to how to make a beep.The ideal answer wold be for me to write a routine that accepts waveshape,freq,volume,Stereo_Position,duration).

I am building an application that has several forms to it and on my first form, I declare 2 variables that I will need to pass to at least 2 of the other forms. I call them
Public payPeriodStartDate, payPeriodEndDate As Date
on form2, I am needing to pass those variables to a datagridview to present to users. I have the following query that I'm trying to run from that form but I'm given an error that SQL is unable to parse the query:

i have datagridview populated with stock code, name and description.And i have docked my datagridview to the bottom. so whenever the form is resized, the bottom section will be occupied completely with the datagridview.But i want to display one extra empty column and multiple empty rows to completely fill in the datagridview.The extra empty column width will be adjusted to the right end side of datagridview.And the no of empty rows will be generated based on how many is required to fill up to the bottomSo that i can create datagridview with full column and row even though some columns or rows are empty.

Currently we are using a VB script macro created in word to create some fairly simple forms based off of data entered on a data entry form. I am very new to VB, and I have been able to create many applications using forms, but I have absolutely no history creating reports. I have been reading up on the reports, and it looks like they are designed to use with data sources like tables. I merely want to take either data from the entry form, or from data derived internaly from processing the user entered data and populate a defined report "form". I have been searching, but there is so much on printing reports, that I feel overwhelmed. I am not looking for the exact answer as much as a link or place to look for a sample for what I want to do.

I have developed a form for Windows VB.Net that uses a number of text boxes that are indidivually bound to separate columns in a database. When one of the textboxes (let's call it XYZ.Text) is bound to the database, it prevents the data from any of the other bound text boxes to enter the database. When the binding for this one text box (XYZ.Text) is removed, then all the other text boxes work fine.
