Passing Values From Gridview Hyperlink Fields To Next Page Labels?

I'm trying to use hyperlink fields in my gridview to pass certain values into another page using querystrings. On the next page I've put 'labels' that should be populated with data from the gridview, however nothing happens. This is my gridview code:

I am currently working with a gridviews in asp.net(vb). I have it where I am able to pass information from gridview1 to gridview2 on the next page. However, what I need to do now is pass a variable from a column in gridview2 to the header of that page. i.e. in Gridview2 we have a column and all results are the same, the column header is StoreName and all the data for column is Sears. I know how to make the entire column invisible, but at the top of the page I need a sentence that looks like this:
Store Information for Sears
I am having trouble with what the code would look like for that line, all the thing I have tried have resulting in using a variable before it is declared. I need this line to be dynamic as the results will not always be for Sears.

since I now have the records returned as URL format, how can I display those as hyperlinks in my gridview? (this is how the client wants it done, not much I can say to change their mind)

I created a program that has serval labels on a form and a listview object. It has a button that when clicked reads a textfile and loads up values in the listview object. I then can click and drag text from the listview box to any label on the form and then the program removes the value from the listview box. Now, my question is how can I instruct VB to save these values in the text property of the labels so that the next time the program is loaded the labels will contain the values loaded during the last run time session?

I have a search page with a couple of pulldowns. Dependig on the values of them I show a grid matching the searched criteria, basically a table with links the user can navigate to. My problem comes when the user wants to navigate back. At the moment I have a "Back" button which simply redirects the user to the initial search page. I think it would be a good improvement to have the values of the pulldowns filled in with the values the user selected, this way when he presses the "Back" button he would not have to restart the whole search process again.

I added this template field to a gridview column and need to access the value, an email address, from the column in code behind. I initially added a DataKeyNames, but this only pulls the first record value. It does not seem to select the value for each record when running through a loop.I would like to add the email to a label so that I can perhaps use a FindControl statement, unless someone knows of an easier way. I cannot get the email hyperlink to show up in the label. Works fine without the label tag except for not being able to read the email address.

im using asp.net with vb.net in backcode. On my first page, i diplay names of all employees. I want to give that a hyperlink, that when clicked upon shall open the next page with say a querystring and opn only that employees records. Also I want the save the employeeid (which is not shown on page 1) on the second page, cause when i do updates on second page, I want to use that employeeId in "where" clause for update or insert statements.

lets say I have a form (form1) with lables a-z which are all designed with default text "0". So they all show 0 on program startup. which is fine. I also have a dialog with 2 TextBoxes; I want my program to update the default text/value on (only)form1 labels x, y and z to whatever was put into the textboxes when i press the OK button on the Dialog, so these specified labels show the 'new' value on next startup. Is it even possible or should I save the values to a file which loads the values in the specified labels on startup?

I have a parent page and child page, both aspx. All is working, but now I would like to close child page, if user leaves child popup page and goes back to parent page and clicks on something else like page index of Gridview. I CANNOT close popup child page if user goes to another app, or some other location, I only want to close if something on parent page is changed.
I have the PageIndexChange Event set up for other purposes, I would just like to add some functionality, perhaps a script manager to close the child popup page if the Gridview index is changed, java or another way which ever works best.I think I might also need to check if the child page is even open.

I have example of Crystal Report document, in that document I have 3 fields from 2 tables (loaded from my database). What I'm trying to do is to access one of those fields (year field) programmaticly and pass only one value...let's say I only want to show year "2006."
I've tried different things but nothing works 'til now.[code...]
with this, I can access to the field i want...but I don't know how to set or get any of his value...this code above only gets name of that field, I just put that for an example.
I just want to do next: give user a chance to print different reports for different years, and I want to have some combobox menu.
