I am trying to put together a simple form with prices assigned to Radio buttons and check boxes.
I started by creating a simple form with four Windows Form control, two check boxes and two radio buttons, there is also a NumberUpDown Control for quantity but I have not added that yet.
Basically the user make selections, the price is calculated with total and subtotal and displayed on a label.
I am trying to start as basic as possible then work my way up to more complex calculations as I progress.

View 6 RepliesI am using the NPV() function in VB.NET to get NPV for a set of cash flows. However, the result of NPV() is not consistent with my results performing the calculation manually (nor the Investopedia NPV calc... which matches my manual results)
My correct manual results and the NPV() results are close, within 5%.. but not the same...
Manually, using the NPV formula:
NPV = C0 + C1/(1+r)^1 + C2/(1+r)^2 + C3/(1+r)^3 + .... + Cn/(1+r)^n
The manual result is stored in RunningTotal

how to go about populating some text boxes with results from calculations. There is "ReportDate" property (Date type) in BasicContact, RadioButtonList "rdl_Priority" (with integer value from "prio_id" field) in BasicDetail and "CheckDate" property in ActionTime. I'm new to VB and Windows programming but I do have a fair amount of experience programming at the command line level. A friend is having problems with his laptop. He does a lot of speaking engagements with Powerpoint. His laptop uses the F7 key to toggle the output to his external monitor port to the video projector. The F7 key has stopped doing this. Is there a way to create a Windows program that will do this without using a DOS window? He is not familiar with command line processing and needs something that he can double-click.

View 1 RepliesI would like to calculate a new date simply by using the build-in dateadd function, but take into account that only weekdays should be counted (or 'business days' so to speak).I have come up with this simple algorithm, which does not bother about holidays and such. I have tested this with some simple dates, but would like some input if this can be done in better ways.This sample assumes a week with 5 business days, monday-friday, where first day of the week is monday. Dateformatting used here is d-m-yyyy, the sample calculates with a startdate of october 1, 2009.
