View 6 RepliesI have a product table with ProductId,ProductName,ProductCode as fields. I've populated a combobox with productnames. Next I have two other tables called Result_Header and Result_Detail. The Result_Header table has ProductId as a foreign key and BatchNo,TestDate etc. The Result_Detail table has ResultId as a foreign key which is the ResultHeaders Primary Key and other fields such as Result,SpecHi etc. What I need is when I select a Product from my combobox my two datagridviews must be populated via the Result_header and Result_detail tables respectively.
View 20 RepliesI am using VS2008 and SQLite. I have created a database and several tables and am attempting to populate the tables with data from arrays.
The following code (example) works fine but stops after it inserts 30 to 50 records. I am running the VB code in debug mode and when it stops, I press pause to see where it is. It stops on "SQLcommand.ExecuteNonQuery()" and when I press continue (F5) it will insert another 30 to 50 records.
I do not get an error message. Is this a timeout issue? How do I keep the loop running to the end of the array?

VB 2010 form has 1 panel, 1 DGV in the panel, 1 TabControl with 3 tabs in the panel each tab has a DGV all 4 bound to the same DataSet through code.
I have a form that has multiple Datagridviews on it, 1 in the main portion of a panel and the other 3 in a tabcontrol. If I click on cell 0,4 of DGV1 cell 0,4 of DGV2 is also "hilighted" and the same goes in the reverse order. If I click on cell 1,4 in DGV 1, cell 0,1 is hilighted in DGV2 (basically it stays with the last selected col and what ever row for that DGV).
This isn't the functionality I'm really looking for here, when I single click or change cells on any of the DGV's I don't want any of the others doing anything.
As you can see there are 2 cells selected this was created by a single click in the 4th cell of Param0
I have a problem with my DataGridViews, actually i have a form with a TabControl with 8 tabs, each tab have a DataGridView control. I'm populating them when the form load, the problem is that i got kind of a limit here, only 3 DataGridViews are getting populated, not 3 specific ones but any 3 i put first on my code. I'm populating them manually, doing a mysql query, filling a DataTable and then making the data source equal to the DataTable.

I have a strange problem; on my form there is a TabControl, and every tab contains a DataGridView.I set all DataGridViews Autosize column property to DataGridViewAutoSizeColumnsMode.Fill and then I set for every column the width with FillWeight, using the same set of values for every DataGridView.Although all these DataGridViews should look the same, the one on the first TAB looks different, it looks like I used different FillWeight values.All others DataGridViews on subsequent tabs looks the same, only the one on the first tab looks different..

I have need for a database in my latest app, i quickly realised it had been a long time since i last used a database and am in fact very very rusty on the subject. So i decided to create a simple DataSet using the designer, i created 2 tables as follows
Table 1 is Named Map and contains a 2 dimensional array each cell containing an array of object id's of anything in that cell, and a level ID.
Table 2 contains data about these objects ie size weight and a z-order, again referenced by an object id (matching Table1)
This i did with no issues, when it came however to actually populating these tables i drew a blank. Do i have to locate the database file and edit with notepad? I presume not. Maybe i have to use an external app like sqlmanager? I seem to recall from my past that i added table rows from within the designer but i cannot find this in 2010 express
I used INNER JOIN to bind the two tables and my problem is how to populate/show on the datagrid.[code]....
View 12 RepliesI have a vb.net web application and when a particular function runs , i get data timeouts in the rest of the application..(ie..row not found errors or column does not belong to table but it does) The function is adding multiple rows in multiple tables in the database and is running in a for loop. It seems to be all SQL related but I am not seeing anything in the error logs in SQL or in the application Right now I am assuming it is memory related where to start note..the for loop will be replaced with a bulk insert but right now I jest need to resolve the issue of the timeouts
