I have a String with 15 places that I would like to split into 3 pieces: (First 3 digits), (next 3 digits), (remaining 9 digits).
How in VB2008 can I do that? Everything I have read so far indicates seperating by a certain character (ie: "," or " ") but no mention of character place. Seems like a simple thing, but after 2 hours of searching I'm still coming up empty
Textbox1 will have the number 0x08800000, It may also be more than one line, so for example;
0x08800000 0x02313823
0x08800000 0xDEADBEEF
0x08800000 0xBEEFBEEF
etc etc
I only need to subtract 08800000 from whats in bold, the rest will stay the same. The value in textbox1 will always begin with 0x0880xxxx I need to convert that to 0x00000000 so basically I need to subtract 08800000 from textbox1 and place the output in textbox2.

From my application I need to run a command and parse the output. I can do this with no problem but I don't want the command to be displayed. I hoped WindowStyle = ProcessWindowStyle.Hidden would work but it doesn't. Take the sample code below for example. It works fine but the command window still visibly opens and closes very quickly and I need it to never show its ugly face. How can I fix this?

I have created working code that can determine which character needs to be sent and toggles the RTS line on com 1 with the proper pulses. The above date time format shows in properties as the value but when I try using it, the textbox shows "11/3/2011 12:00:00 AM). Any way to assign the date and time to a text box?
