Get All The Words / Items In The Listbox To Go Into A Textbox
Feb 4, 2011i need to get ALL the words/items in the listbox to go INTO a textbox... i know how to do it the opposite way with lstbox1.items.add(txtbox1.text) - etc.... but it need to figure out how to make it go from LISTBOX to TEXTBOX. i've already tried stuff like "txtbox1.text = lstbox1.text" - that doesnt work, i've also tried "txtbox1.text = lstbox1.items", and just stuff like that, i've probably tried like 10 different things but none of them work im using VB 2008 Express Edition

Dec 16, 2009Currently I have a textbox with some words and the program randomly removes five words and inserts 5 textboxes below the main textbox for the user to enter his or her answers. The goal of the program is to help the user memorize the text on the program. They can hit a button and new words can be removed and the original words will return. This is so that user is not entering the same answers over and over again.
What I've done is I have created a Listbox and I want the words that are removed to be listed in the Listbox so that the user will have a wordbank to use and I want it to work so that when the user hits the button for new words then the listbox will replace the old words with the new ones.

For now, all that is inside the directory is a text file. I would like my program to read the contents of the text file and remove a set of common words, but I don't really know how to move forward here. Would it be best to create a class that holds a set of words that I would like to remove, then loop through the text file, remove any words that match those inside my class and then write what's left to a new .txt file?

Mar 30, 2011I am trying to make a program where I browse for a folder and that Browse dialog displays user selection into a Text Box that part I have completed, when that user selects the folder it will recursively search all folders and subfolders in the directory the user has chosen and display that list in a ListBox here is the code I have so far. Also to note I have found a function for recursively search a folder but I have no idea how to implement it to display in the ListBox from the User selected directory.

Jan 28, 2010I was wondering if there's anyway to color stuff in a textbox? example: I have a big textbox and if I type hi in that textbox I want that text to become grey, and if I type bye I want the text to become red, any ideas?
btw, I took your advice from my latest thread and installed a stable version of 2005
I did some thinking and come up with the idea "if textbox1.text ="hej" then" set a color but then I realized the whole text would become to coded text, hmm..

To get around this I created a database that would store the values.
