Number1 Number2 Word
What I would like to do is remove the last four values, so remove Word, Space, Number2 and space and only show Number1.
So far I have the following coding but this only remove the last character.

I am trying to create a function to remove dirty words from user input text and want to replace those dirty words with four ****. In my scenario , i have list of dirty words where i would iterate the input user text and want to replace. Say for example.,

Problem: It works fine to replace some word like " bush" however fails in the below function doesn't replace "$hit" and "@ss".
Note: I do not want to use string.Replace because it doesn't have word boundary in the sentence..

i need to get ALL the words/items in the listbox to go INTO a textbox... i know how to do it the opposite way with lstbox1.items.add(txtbox1.text) - etc.... but it need to figure out how to make it go from LISTBOX to TEXTBOX. i've already tried stuff like "txtbox1.text = lstbox1.text" - that doesnt work, i've also tried "txtbox1.text = lstbox1.items", and just stuff like that, i've probably tried like 10 different things but none of them work im using VB 2008 Express Edition

searching a database using multiple words from a textbox showing in gridview.

It works fine, i click button and the gridview shows all the right records. The problem is when i use more then 1 word in textbox. it shows nothing. The record in the database field may have several words, so i need to search using all words in textbox.

I would like the autocomplete list of a textbox to be the words that the user has previously typed and saved. This may sound a daft question but how can you remove the caret from a textbox after the text has been entered without having to use the mouse to click outside the box.The reason for this is I have a textbox which when the user clicks the mouse on it a virtual keyboard allows them to enter text which is then displayed in the textbox. If the user got it wrong and wanted to reload the virtual keyboard they have to move the mouse outside the box, click and then re-enter again.
