Save Button, Save Webpage As Mht File (.net 4 Vb)
Oct 25, 2011I have a website written in .net 4. I'd like to include a save button on one the pages that will save the webpage as a mht file. This way the user can save the page as a mht file type on his/her desktop without have to use the browser toolbar.
I'm currently working with the following code but I need to modify it so it to capture the url of the current page the user is viewing verses hard coding the url into the button click event.

Excel Workbook In A Webbrowser Does Not Prompt For Save On Closing Of Webbrowser
Oct 1, 2009I am utilizing a webbrowser control in vb.net 2005 to display excel workbooks
We are using this control to open excel documents. Webbrowser.ShowSaveAsDialog() allows the user to save the excel workbook open at any location he wants
However, I don't want the user to decide where to save. Is there any way to save an excel document from the webbrowser control without going through the ShowSaveAsDialog?
On closing of webbrowser, a simple prompt to user whether he/she would like to save changes should be fine enough
As of now, I can close webbrowser control and it does not prompt the user to save the changes. Actually, all changes are lost until and unless I perform a save (Ctrl+S) manually

Feb 19, 2012I've pulled down a webpage using a WebRequest object, and need to parse it, but first I need to render it since there is scripting on the page. I don't want to use the WebBrowser control because that forces me to jump out of my current function to the DocumentCompleted event, and "lose my place" (so to speak). Is there any way for me to pull down a URL using a WebRequest object and have the page rendered but still stay in my function?

Aug 15, 2011Last year my team wrote a VB .Net project that used the webbrowser control to automatically fill out user forms, click images, action buttons etc. for a web application used in our company. This year, the web application was upgraded to version 3.0. We got the application in our area so that we can adjust the code in our application to work with the upgraded web application.However, the new web application is loaded with Adobe Flash. We cannot "right-click" in the window to retrieve the Source Code (this is how we got the information from the last web application, right-click and read the HTML). When we right-click, we only get options to change Adobe settings.How do I find the source code for the web page that uses Adobe Flash in order to use our application to communicate with it and fill out the fields, click buttons, etc.?

May 15, 2012Is there a way to visit a webpage without using webbrowser. I know how to do this easily using a webbrowser, but what is another method to visit any page (like webbrowser.navigate)? I read that webrequest are very fast and stable, but I cannot get it to work! I am using goo.gl, as it checks if the page is visited, as an example. That's the code I have now, and it's not recording a visit.

WebBrowser1.Document.Body.ScrollLeft = 200
I have placed the above commands in a command button and wait until the page has loaded before I press it and also in the

Other commands such as

Feb 9, 2010I have been working on this one for a couple of days now. The company I work for wants me to automate a login (coupled with a phone dialer) to a national Satellite retailer. When the call center individual gets a call the ACD system forwards them to a URL and is supposed to log them in. Unfortunately one of the sites heavily uses frames and I cannot programmatically autofill the userid and password and programmatically press the "OK" button on thee website. The website is: [URL]. I have been able to drill down and fill in the userid and password fields, but this has stopped working but I have never been able to Invoke the OK button event.
