School Project Music Maker Kinda

So I am supposed to be choosing a final project for my visual basic 2008 class. I cannot help but remember an old high school classmate from web design class who made a program that used the speaker built into the motherboard (or whatever makes the start up beep when you turn computer on) to time the beeps to play simple songs. It was very funny and amusing and I was wondering if anyone had seen something similar or knows how to go about making one?

I have a scrollable panel that has a "list" of controlls. However when you scroll, it kinda "lags" with a kinda "motion blur" Does anybody have a solution to my problem?

So as the message says i believe im having a problem when declaring an array as control. The background:Im doing a school project where a picture is covered by 48 buttons. When a user clicks a button, they are asked a question. If they answer write, the button disappears until the whole image is displayed.
Im using each buttons visible property to hide it. Now that i think about it, i should probably un-enable it after a question is answered correctly.anyway, I keep getting a NullReferenceException when making the visible set to false. Any suggestions would be awesome. I have already created all the buttons and named them Q1-Q48.

I move a VB project from school and home on a flash drive. At school drive mounts on E: at home it mounts on F:. I have 4 forms, Form1, Form2, Form3. Form4. Form1 and Form3 have incorrect file paths, it has the E:, but Form 2 and Form4 path change just fine when I move it from school and home.

I am in the process of writing a battleship game for a final project for school. I get what to do for the most part, but need a little jump start for writing the "ships" class. Does anyone have any suggestions?
So far my game starts with a dynamic array of buttons, but as of now they don't do anything. I need to be able to have the user place ships in places and have the computer randomly generate positions.

Hey guys, I'm a new guy in VB.NET. I am proposing my final year project a title called music studio. My version of music studio is like real music video where we can play many sound at any time. For example, the application that I want to build can create many button and also add an audio along with it. And then, when we hit the 1st button, it play 1st audio. while 1st audio play, we also can hit 2nd button and 2nd audio is playing. for example, 1st audio is sound of man walking, and then 2nd audio is the sound of glass break. lastly 3rd sound sound of police siren play. Is it cool? so, my question is, is it possible the I can build an application by using VB.NET?

I want to be able to kinda like have a timer that will get an image off my Hard Drive, and upload it online, so that all I'd have to do is download the image, even if it's been written over, I want to be able to broadcast an image from my hard drive, using only my IP Address.
127.0.0.1 is my IP Address.8888 is the port.Somthing like if you were to goto http://127.0.0.1:8888/update.html or Update.Jpg If YOU were to go to this address on your machine, you could see the image... Of coarse, it will probably be an image of which I was able to get from Printing my Screen image, and then saving it as like C:Test.Jpg, but the Timer would get my Desktop Image, or Print My Screen and Save it and Overwrite the Test.jpg image on the C Drive... Ya know what I'm talking about?

i want to know how to draw cell or grid in picturebox for icon. im creating a small program that i want to include icon editor, i know how to use bitmap or GDI+ to make icon, but i want to include small icon editor like the one with VS IDE. i want to know if the 32 X 32 icon pixels was generated by 32 rows of pictureboxes and 32 columns of pictureboxes. I understand how a usual map maker/editor works. I have one that I have been tweaking with on and off for the past 2 years. It gets xPosition, yPosition, and which tile to place. However, I have been running over the problem I had last time I left it...how to apply a zPosition (to determine which layer a specific tile is on). From what I know the typical map consists of a 2D array of tiles, but not only loading the first array would you load multiple arrays for each layer needed for a particular map?
I have yet to find something that explains how a multi-dimensional/layered map array is supposed to work, or how to load multiple layers at once with transparency to allow for the bottom layers to come through. I don't need any code here, just an opinion if I am thinking about this the right way, and what terms I can look up to find out more.
