May 7, 2010Lets say a search engine is doing a search by date range. If we want to further expand the search by decreasing the date range by looping with date range one month close to end date how would you change the parameters?
For example if these are the date parameters:
start date = 05 / 07/ 2009
end date = 05 / 07/ 2010
050709 - 050710
Thats my set range; so now I want to change the range by month like this
050809 - 050710
050909 - 050710
051009 - 050710
051109 - 050710
051209 - 050710
050110 - 050710
etc
How can I use a loop to set this up? the year has to change accordingly when month hits 12.

I also tried the above code to search records on the base of CustId and it worked fine too.My table DailyTransaction in MsAccess is as under:DTDate, DTTime, CustId, Description, Quantity, Price, Amount, AccountNumber, Name
Now I want to Search records on the base of Date I tried the following but it did not work.

Oct 26, 2010I created a small program that reads an access database 2007 I added the database from the data sources window, the fields I created were ID, Name, Transaction, email and Number. where number has a YES index(no duplicates) option. And they all are TEXT types. I created a new form and added the datagrid of the database and want to create a search by number. so I click on the add query, then on the number filter I added LIKE @Number + '%' BUT IT CHANGES TO: LIKE '@Number' + '%' so the query wont work, and VB.net wont create the text field or anything. what is it that I have to do?
