I have a website where I am filling form data through VB.Net 2010 through WebBrowser control.
I am able to set value for input:text, input:password, checkbox, select and able to submit form.
But I am not able to select input:file programmatically. I am also able to open "Choose a File" Dialog.
How can I send file name to select and press OK button from VB.Net Code?
I need to select the address option on this webpage programatically with vb 2010 webbrowser.I think the html code is here

View 2 RepliesI know the code to find the input boxes in question.. basically the html is like so HTML <input type="text" name="username" class="inputbox"> i know enough to use WebBrowser1.Document.Forms.GetElementsByName("username") to find the text box...but I need to know how to send the contents of say TextBox1.text to the form on the web page...i can't figure it out for crap...I just assume give up and use sendkeys to tab to the textbox even thought its 80% unreliable....
View 2 RepliesI have a Webbrowser control on my Windows Form that loads a local page using the DocumentStream property. The page contains an input element of type text. When rendered, users are able to type anything they wish however they are unable to use keys like "Delete" or typical Cut & Paste functions. If it were not for the fact that you can type data and Basckspace to delete the character one at a time. If I load the same page in Internet Explorer, the input box functions correctly.

How to select one cell and mulitple cells in a table using the webbrowser control. E.g. If the web page (local) that I'm viewing in the webbrowser control has tables present in it. When I click on a cell in the table I want to be able to edit the attributes of the cell like adding an align or a class attribute. I think this is possible without using mshtml which I'm trying to avoid as I can't find much user friendly documentation on it.
The text in the webbrowsercontrol is loaded with the foll:

So I am guessing that I need to be able to detect when a cell is selected (<td></td> tag etc) or clicked on and then from that point I can edit the attributes of that specific cell (<td class="jimmy"></td> tag etc).
I created a Windows Form application that used a Webrowser control to automate the process of entering data into a website. One of the tasks included selecting a server name from a dropdown menu (SELECT tag). I was able to get a collection of all of the OPTION tags and use HTMLElement.SetAttribute("selectedIndex","indexVal ue") to select the server I needed.The website recently went through a redesign and now there are no OPTION tags. It appears that the values for the SELECT tags are added by JavaScript dynamically. I have tried using HTMLElement.SetAttribute("selectedIndex","indexVal ue") directly, but I am unable to select what I need.

View 1 RepliesI wrote a VB.Net application that displays HTML help files according to user's search results.A user types some keywords and receives a list of HTML help files containing these keywords.When a list item is selected the HTML file is displayed in WebBrowser control.The problem is that I cannot mark the keywords in the displayed HTML file. I need to highlight them like in a standard Help. I tried many options and nothing works.If I change HTML element style manually (background color for a specific string) all pictures attached to this page are not displayed. After "Refresh" operation the pictures are displayed but the text selection is not enabled.I hope there is a standard function for this operation but I cannot find it.

If you click folder it opens new folder contents in WB window but if you click html document it opens in EXTERNAL viewer.
How do you get html document to open in WB while exploring ?
I have a little situation and i am not sure of the best way to do it.
- My program lets the user select a folder
- From that folder i need to select all .png files
- One by one i need to load them into a picture box, await a button press and then go to the next image.

View 1 RepliesI'm creating a program that ought to automatically populate a form on a web site with information, and then submit that form. I've done this kind of thing a lot before, but this time I'm running into an interesting problem -- the "input type=file" element.
With the "input type=file" element, a filename box is automatically created along with a Browse button. Clicking the filename box opens the file browser -- you can't type in the filename box manually.
For my program, however, I want to manually set the value of this filename box. Usually, I would just get the element from the page, then call: element.SetAttribute("value",myNewValue). However, with the "input type=file" element, that hasn't worked, presumably because the user cannot normally manually edit the value of the box (though I could be wrong about that being why).[code]...
I've asked this elsewhere once, and one reply was about how I shouldn't be attempting to write a server that will accomplish this anyway -- so let me make sure it's perfectly clear, I'm just writing a client program that ought to mimic what I would be doing anyway. Its purpose is that there's a particular site that I submit things to whose interface only supports one submission at a time, and I have several hundred things I need to submit.
I am trying to move from the old ADO to the new ADO .NET . However , no matter how many tutorials I read over the internet , I still can't find a way to do something which , as I believe , has to be very simple I tried to mimic the way the graphic control did but I am missing some things ... I noticed that , in the graphic way , the wizard created 4 controls :- a DataGridView control- a DataSet control- a BindingSource control- a TableAdapter controlI recreated all of them and filled their correspondent properties , but yet I can't make it work . I think what I am missing is the connection itself . I looked on the internet and I think a connection can be made and opened like this :

I have searched all over the place in an attempt to find the answer to this and from what I can see alot of individuals are suggesting that it is better to use the old web browser control from VB6. View 3 RepliesI have some questions about the Windows.Forms.WebBrowser control.I have added this control to my project to be able to browse websites internally.First problem is that when I come into a webpage that contains JavaScript to open a new window, the control opens a new instance of iexplore.exe, tries to load the page in which the java script popup code initiated, but then prompts for authentication for a second time.Basically, I have to sign into one page to get to a listing of applications.I click on the application which in turn is just a URL to another page.The URL to the other page contains java script to open a new window.The new window opens in an iexplore.exe process, but re-directs me to the original sign in window instead of taking me to the correct site.If I do a msgbox on the cookie that is currently loaded, it displays my authentication information.How do I tell the new iexplore.exe processes to use the cookie that was stored in the webbrowser control?
