Is it possible to modify this section of code to select multiple instances of pictureboxes, so that I can drag them all together. At the moment I have to do one at a time, and when there's more than half a dozen, its a bit tedious. I've added the Control key to distinguish it from single drag'n'Drop, but.

Having created my picture boxes at runtime, I am able to drag and drop them, but I have a few technical problems. After a few days of 'playing' seem to be going around in circles.There are three main problems:-
1. The last picturebox created is the only one I can drag.
I tried using "CType(sender,PicBox)" but never got it to work successfully.
2. The picturebox moves to the mouse cursor whenever I click it.
3. There seems to be an offset from where the cursor actually is, to where the picturebox actually moves.

I would like to ask for some help in my playbook project regarding its interface. Here's the scenario: I have 6 picture boxes 5 of which shows the players and 1 picture box for the basketball. What I would like to do is to drag those picture boxes on the court at run time but when I drag them inside the court the images should not be moved instead they should only be copy inside the court.
how do I do it? Im having a hard time solving this problem. what I have right now is that when I drag the images the image are moved to the court and not copied. Also after dragging the first picture box that picture box from the source should be hidden then the 2nd picture box will now be visible and so on...

I am planning on having 12 - 14 listviews on my form.Do I have to copy the above code and name each source and destination listview for all combinations that I want to drag to and from? I've been successfully dragging one item at a time over from a listbox to a treeview, but now that I'm trying to adapt it to drag/drop multiple items, I've run into a problem.I'm getting an index out of range exception in the loop where I'm trying to gather the listbox items into a string array. Any index greater than 0 throws the exception, even though I have set the length to equal the number of selected items in the listbox. I've double-checked that this is the case many times. Watching the selecteditems.count value, I can see that it is equal to the number of items I have selected, naturally, but the exception is still thrown on this line:

I am trying to add multiple files to FTP server by dragging and dropping and I am able to do that using try catch block and if we give the ftp settings correctly it takes 1 sec to upload them but when we give wrong details it hangs up and dosen't give me any error message though If I give an exceptional message.
Now I am getting error message as well as success message for every file I add.I do not want that to be happen.where should I give messages for success and failure so that it should take few seconds for uploading and if not should give me a message immediately.

I have an application where I have different picture boxes which the user can drag and move.I also have different empty pictureboxes.
What I want to do:I want to let the user be able to drag a picturebox to one of the empty pictureboxes. Also, If the user drags a picturebox to an invalid place (outside the bounds of any of the empty pictureboxes), the dragged picture box should return to its previous location.
So what I currently have is the usual drag-drop code and on the MouseUp event, I run this code (currently only checking for one empty picturebox):

I want to be able to hold CTRL down to select multiple text entries and drag them all to certain text boxes. Or even one at a time, but once I try dragging another word into the box it replace the first one. Is there any way to just have it add to the text box rather than replace it?
And if possible, place a "-" between each entry?

I am writing a small program that has two list box's which are populated from my sql database. I want to drag an item from LB1 to column1 in a datagridview and drag an item from LB2 to column2 in the same datagridview.
I am getting close, but I am having trouble getting the data to drop. I did some testing and I can drop a string, but I am not able to get the string data from my listbox. I just get a datarowview. I see the string inside the "itemarray", but cannot get to it.

Also if I declare the nodebtn as a global variable, I do not face this problem, the button is dragable. However when I click to add new buttons, no new button is generated, instead a button is generated with the count on it.

I am very new to Visual Basic, but I am trying to build a simple program, and how to create a drag and drop that works, but I can't seem to figure out how to change the display as I drag across the screen. Basically, right now I have a circle with a line through it that goes across my screen as I drag and what I would like is for it to be the text that I am dragging that drags across the screen, just like a file on my desktop would do when I grab it and try to drag it somewhere else on the desktop. I've seen the code on this site to setup a drag-and-drop between 2 listboxes (and that works perfectly for me), but I have a need to be able to move items between up to 12 listboxes. For example, I move an item from listbox1 to listbox2; at some point in the future, I need to be able to move that same item from listbox2 to listbox3, then at another point in time from listbox3 back to listbox1, etc. When I make these moves, I need the item to be removed from its previous location. I've attempted to modify the 2-listbox code to include, on my test form, a third listbox, but that code copies to the third listbox, and when I attempt to move the item from the third listbox to the second, it, too, only copies and does not remove the item from listbox3.
