I am working on a grid view where I have an acitve column which has radio button, user can select either yes or no for the active column. depending on the selection I am able to update the database.

I have added a template field in a gridview. In that i have added a radio button. I have written a code which will get row Id of GridView of a row which is having a radiobutton on it checked. Through code i am getting even name of that radio button, but it is showing me that radio button is not checked, even when it is already checked. Here is the code.

I am almost there but for some reason I don't find the answer to my issue. Here it goes. In my application I have a form which displays a data grid view with some info I get through XML from a web server. The data grid view have as first column a Check Box colum. The second column have the information I get into a variable (from cells), one by one, to pass it to the sub with the XML command.
What I want to do is to be able to select all the rows and send the cell info of the second row (only for the selected rows) to my sub which will execute once then send the second cell info and execute the sub and so on until all the loop is complete. Currently my code works only if I delete one row at a time (sending the XML code will delete the info in the web server and update the datagridview which in return will remove the item).

View 2 RepliesI have 4 radio buttons, r1, r2, r3, r4. These four radio buttons are in a group box.
r1 and r2 for asking the gender of person.
r1 for Male , r2 for Female
r3 and r4 for asking whether the user would like to continue.
r3 for Yes , r4 for No.
When I click r1 , r3 becomes unchecked and vice versa. Similar is the case with r2 , r4. So at a time I can check only one radio button. How can I get around this problem . The groupbox is essential so I cannot remove it.

If they are a member and 65 or over, they pay $5. If they are not a member the fee is then $20. There are 4 radio buttons: Member, Non Member, Under 65 and 65 and Over. The code below is what I had in there. VS shows no errors and the thing runs, but it produces incorrect results every time (e.g. Non Member radio with Over 65 radio answers $10).

I have students who will be enrolled into a course. The student grid view has many columns like client_no, student_name, date_of_birth, address, etc. There are over 100000 students so I will need to filter the student grid view to find the correct student to enroll in the course. Once they are found, the user selects them and somehow moves them to the enrolled grid view. If a student drops out then they would be removed from the enrolled grid view.This process needs to be easy to understand and use. Are there any examples available or other suggestions on how to do this?
View 1 RepliesI am stuck on how to assign values on a label or text box.The issue is the following:I have two tables, one called A and the second one called B.Table A has tree fields: id, name, lastname...Table B has five fields: id, level1, level2, level3, level4..The idea is to save A.id into level1, level2, level3 and level4. A.id can be the same or not. I know how to assign and save the values on the DDBB using DDL, but when I want to show the values using labels, I get the first value always, this is becuase the select command is configures in that way. If I use ddl instead label, it works, but I do not want to show the value using ddl. I want to use label to show the values, and ddl to modify or add new data into the DDBB.[code] As you can see the level1 uses label, and level2 uses ddl, it was the only way to get the value for level2, otherwise if I use label on level2 it display level1 value instead.I would like to know if there is any way to assign different value using anything but ddl.

View 1 RepliesI have a asp grid with a few columns that bind to data. The last column has been converted to a template-field. In this template-field is a button with a modal popup extender attached to it. Hidden inside this field is a modal popup. This modal popup is used to add a new account. it contains 2 text boxes, drop down lists and buttons("Add" and "Cancel"). When "add" is clicked the modal should close after the inserting of the new account in the code behind.
The Problem: I get the popup to display and load the Drop down lists from the cache, without problem. How do I get the button click event to fire in the code behind. I've tried using a JavaScript function that performs a _doPostBack('btnAddAcc','') but it keeps returning the error "JavaScript error: Object expected". I gathered after about 1 hour on Google that it is because "btnAddAcc' is not found because it is actually within the grid-view cell and can't be directly accessed. Using page methods and ajax calls is a last resort as the company has a strict policy against this and only allowes this after a bunch of paperwork.

How do you input binded Radio button if checked values "String" to the data base using query Like if check radio button Male the gender in the database will be "Male" And female if otherwise the ,database column is string in my db and my dataset is radio button the inputted record should have male or female in gender column. I'm confused also with date time picker in vb and it is date/time format in database column.
