Send Data To Dynamic Text In Flash
Sep 23, 2011
I want to send data from vb.net to the flash.(ex. i have variable x in .net which has a value of 5, now every time i load the flash in vb.net the value of x will reflect in the text i put in the flash.). I was able to made this but through loadVariables() in the flash but I should save the data in txt files so that the flash will load it.., I want to make it simply because I need to fetch data from the database and then i need to save it to txt file in order to load the data.

I'm writing a program that will scan a barcode from a serial scanner and store the information in a MySQL database.
In the program I would like to check for when the scanner is not working. If it's not working then send me an email. I set a variable called MessageBody which sets the body of the email that is going to be sent. The subroutine is called EmailError(). So I can call it in other subroutines. I would like to take a variable or something and put it in the Message body so I can have a dynamic message body and not a static boring one.

OK, I'm trying to display tooltip text for a dynamic edit box. Well, at least I'm trying to.
On my form, I've got a tool tip control which I've conveniently named ToolTip. My edit box displays OK. But, what I want to do is when the user hovers their mouse over the text box, I want the tool tip to display some text.
I think there are two problems that I'm having. I'm not convinced that I'm properly addressing a dynamic text box name. Ideally, I would want to be able to refer to the text box (but using a dynamic variable that will contain the prefix of the name). To hardcode, I would want to be able to achieve (not in this example but in theory): ABCDEFGt_0300.Text = "hello"
Dim controllerName as string = "ABCDEFG"
Dim t_0300 As New TextBox()
Me.Controls.Add(t_0300)

I recently learned how to send the contents of a vb textbox to a flash textbox which is in an swf embedded on my vb form using a vb button to trigger...
Private Sub Form1_Load(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles MyBase.Load
AxShockwaveFlash1.LoadMovie(0, "C:sample.swf")
End Sub
[code]....
This workds great, however what i REALLY want to do is the other way around.... I want to click a flash button thats in the embedded swf and have it put text into my VB textbox... The text I want to dislay is:"well done!" SO Far:I have built a simple swf with a dynamic textbox and a button. textbox is named "sampleField" and its var is: "sampleFieldVar"...button instance named "Button1" is an instance of "button".
using as2 I have put the following code onto the button:
(read this somwhere online)
on(press){

What to use for adding multiple attachment to a email. I'm using VB 2010.
First, I have a Form in my company web site to fill a reclamation ..... when you fill and send it, it convert the form into a PDF, save it in the client side "TEMP" and finally get the PDF and send it to a email..... that's perfectly fine. I add to the form the capability of attach multiple files with file upload to the same "TEMP" and displayed in a Grid View to remove or add files and send everything to a email, the attachment capability is working. Everything is working with the PDF not the files(attachments).
There is a way to get the multiple files from the "TEMP" folder and add it to some dynamically variable (array list, attachment collection, list collection, etc.) so all can be send to the email. I already know the way to put it into the email with the PDF.
The problem is to get the files and add it to the dynamic variable and that it work with the email. If the code is need it.

I am trying to use the send keys function to send text to another program.I ahve gotten it al working well, except for using () as I know sendkeys doesnt like these.I have tried using the Replace function in several places in my code to replace the ( with {(} and {+0} etc, with various other options tried.But when I run the program, it seems to skip this out completly and leaves them in the string as (, and therefore it errors and wont run.When I step through it, it goes through the function but doesnt alter the strng as it should. This is the code to send the string and my attempt at making it replace the () in the module
Module TextReplacement
Private Declare Function GetAsyncKeyState Lib "user32.dll" (ByVal vKey As Int32) As Short
Dim counter As Integer
Dim sData() As String
[code]....
The error I get when i try send "Test :)" is: ArgumentExcveption was unhandled "SendKeys string 'Test :)' is not valid"

Hi, I'm just beginning to teach myself how to do OOP in VB 2008 Express. I have a quick question after seeing a video online.Is a VB variable the equivalent of an 'instance' in Flash and a VB object like a 'symbol' in Flash? Is this what it means by a variable being a reference or pointer to an object and not the object itself?

I'm in the middle of creating an application that will be used to input customer information whilst the customer is speaking to someone over the phone. This involves the customer giving the employee information such as name, address, postcode etc and the employee inputting that information into text boxes and combo boxes that are in the application.
What I would like to be able to do is after the customers information is given over the phone, I need to be able to send that information to a database which will probably most likely be done by button click. In this case, I'm using Microsoft Access. I'm also hoping that I can do this within Visual Basic coding.
The database is set out with multiple tables which include a customer table and a ticket table and both have multiple fields such as first name, surname in the customers table. Both of these tables are in use with the information that the customer gives over the phone.
I've already asked on other forums and people are where replying giving me third party programs that I could use to implement this, something I don't really want to do.

I'm using VB2008 Express and Flash CS4. I'm trying to create a CGI-formatted text file with VB2008 and use it in Flash. Below is an image of the form I'm creating. Beside each number is a textbox for input of the answer follwed by a double-numbered textbox. There's also three radio buttons on the top of the form, "Single", "Double" and "Triple". Single is multiplied by 1 for a number-inputted text box; Double is multiplied by two and Triple is multiplied by 3. Take a look at the form below and you'll see what I'm talking about.

In order to re-sort the data received in USB easier, I send the data array received in USB (declared as Byte) to a temporary array (declared as SByte) to re-sort. I declared the temporary array as SByte just for easy sorting. After I compiled, an error message came up "make sure not divided by zero". I tried to use convert.SByte but still didn't help. Is it not allowed to send data to an array with different data type declaration?
