I know there is a way to set the form load position but I don't remember the syntax for setting it manual. I need to load based on the center position then off set its self from there. so it would be like

The insertion part of the form works great. But my problem is in the form load part......If i leave a field blank(Null),then perform Save operation,close the form after successful insertion and then reopen the form,then it retains the previous values during the form load......This is only in case where i leave a field blank in the previous data entry in the database.......But if i enter values in all fields then form load is working great.
How can I load a form and allow it to run it's code in the form load but keep it not visible. I want it to do what it needs to but but not display.

I am using vb.net 2008. I have a MDI form with a menu strip added. From different menu's i calling related Exe's and opening in side the MDI form. In this case setting of MDIparent properties to the child form (Exe) in not possible. In my Exe i am reading my MDI windows handle and using the setparent API function. In this case the exe is opening inside the MDI below the titile bar but it is hiding the menu strip. (In vb6 it is working fine - Means the exe opens below the menu strip). Is their any way opening the exe below the menustrip or toolstrip.

I am using VB2008 Express. After making changes to the position of controls on the form, the controls position reverts to the original position when the program is rebuilt and run. At first, there is no problem, but after 30 minutes working with the program, the problem begins. I am careful to keep all the files together. I am using XP Professional and .net 3.5

However the problem is that I am having problems displaying the form at my cursor position. I have a mdi chaild form in my app and when I right click I want to display my custom contextmenu form at the point where I right click in the mdichild form. The only other thing is that I want the middle of the form to be displayed at the cursor point.

View 3 RepliesI have this code working fine , it takes pictures of the correct size and correct file name , however , all the pictures it takes are in the top left corner of the screen , rather than where i have the form to. FYI the picture box in the middle has no picture in it , and is transparent , i want to save a bitmap of the contents of the picturebox ( a user defined size of the screen). The picture box and button are docked so that the form scales properly when being resized.

I know that you can use this code for the position.x of the mouse:
System.Windows.Forms.Cursor.Position.X
but how will i detect the position.x of the mouse inside the form? i mean counting 0,0 from the edge of the form not the screen...

I have a "Please Wait..." form that I show when doing some long task. This works quite well. But I cannot seem to control the opening position of the form. Currently I am using:
WaitWindow.StartPosition = FormStartPosition.CenterParent
WaitWindow.Show()
and this is just being ignored. The window opens at random locations. If I change it to CenterScreen, that works! But I don't want it center screen, I want it centered on the parent. Can I manually set the location? I am using VB 2008 Express and the wait form is a plain windows form.
