I want to open some files using my program. and I decided to use a shell command. but when i use shell it gives "file not found error"for example

but
Shell("C:Documents and SettingsÖnerYavuzDesktopwarkey.exe")==> its work

I am trying to convert one of my unix text files to a dos text file. I am using the following command:
Shell(string.format("unix2dos {0}", sFileCompletePath))
I've already added the unix2dos command in my environment path on the server.But when I execute the above mentioned command I get a FileNotFound exception even when the file is located on the disk.
We have installed on our vista system winzip: WinZip Command Line Support Add-On Version 2.2.We are using vb2008 and want to run wzzip.exe from the shell function. "C:Program FilesWinZipWZZIP.EXE" -m d:my.zip d:info*.*
For a few files it's working great but when the d:info has a great number of files, only the wzzip dos screen is visible and the program don't goes further. Does someone has experience with this problem and has a solution?
I'm working on an application, a GUI front-end for a command-line program. What I need to do is this:-use the OpenFileDialog to retrieve the command-line program's path (as it may be in different places for different users)-save that path string in a variable that I can use later (save "C: arget" in a variable called mainPath)

I need to open a *.py file in the shell (DOS) box, but it returns an error that no file was found at the specified path. But this path is completely correct. Unless Visual Basic are referencing to paths in another matter than C#? 'Cause I am developing in C# and referenced to VB to do this.

I want to run a check to make sure the file does exist in the default location but not sure how to get it done. I had seen the Public Shared Function FileExists but I am not quite sure how to make it work.

I did this: Shell("copy " & file1 & " + " & file2 & " " & file3)I got an error that file3 cannot be found. I know it doesn't exist I want to create it. So I created a bat file:copy %1 + %2 %3 and called it as such:Shell("ccopy " & file1 & " " & file2 & " " & file3). I still get the error that file3 cannot be found. First I don't see how it can tell from the shell that file3 is a file. How do I do this otherwise? Do I have to create a blank file before calling it?

The program first checks the directory it's in, and if the license file isn't there, it prompts the user to select the license file with a file browser dialog. I have tested this code and confirmed it working in a number of different OS environments.Recently, I received reports from two users (one in Germany and one in Italy) that the program can't find the license on their computers, even though it is present in the program's directory and they manually selected it with the file browser dialog. I am unable to debug any projects as of a Windows Update 2 days ago. It not only caused problems with VS 2008 but also SQL Server 2008. I'm trying to launch perfmon /res on a Windows 7 (32bit) install using VB Express 2010. When I use the line:

All I get told is that the file doesn't exist. IT DOES EXIST! ITS RIGHT THERE! If you try in cmd it works, if you go there in explorer it works, if NASA used an orbital platform connected to my c$ share and tried, it would work. If you get VB to check for the existence of the file using an if statement it finds it, then tells me its not there the very next line when I use shell to run it.
