VB 2010 Speech Recognition / Speech-To-Text / Voice Control
Oct 23, 2011I'm trying to create a Speech Recognition support for my program. I want to make it so that if I say something in my microphone, the program just writes what I said in Label1. I looked for Speech Recognition codes in MSDN and Google, but I didn't find anything useful. I found a code, but it was for VB.net, I tried but it didn't work in VB 2010.

Creating A Text Converter?
Nov 24, 2011I am creating a text converter, that allows the user to input text to a multi-line textbox, called "Input".The text to input in the box is like this: "CreateObject(3524, 213.53, 1748.10, 17.00, 0.00, 0.00, 0.00);".Then I want the application to read all the coordinates insidde the () and output it in another textbox called "output".
The output is supposed to have this format: "CreateDynamicObject(3524, 213.53, 1748.10, 17.00, 0.00, 0.00, 0.00, 0, 0, -1, 200);". Note the coordinates inside the () are the same as in the input format, but "CreateObject" is replaced with "CreateDynamicObject", and ", 0, 0, -1, 200" is added after the coordinates inside the ().I already created all the boxes etc, only thing needed is the coding.

But is there any way to get it to read other writing systems, such as Korean Is there some sort of software or some addon or something I can install? Perhaps a Korean version of Microsoft Visual Studio 2010, or something?I'm really at a loss here, and it would help me out a lot if there's a solution out there that someone can think of.

Aug 8, 2011I'm trying to do text-to-speech in VB2008 on Windows 7 but I encounter the following exception: first chance exception of type 'System. Runtime. InteropServices.COMException' occurred in Text to Speech.exe..so I made the simplest program I could imagine that should work to minimize error sources but I can't seem to avoid the error. I have included a reference to Microsoft Speech Object COM for both programs and speech-to-text works in the original program.[code]

Text To Speech - Making Program To Pronounce Full Words
Oct 24, 2010My "Learn Welsh" application is now near completion, I only have a few things left to add / fix then I will share it with the world. Here's a screenshot of it so far :
As you can see by the picture above, I have created a simple feature in my application to pronounce letters from a word to assist users to learn the welsh alphabet. What I would really like to do is make the program pronounce full words. I already know how to make use of the system.speech reference in vb, here is a quick sample of code:
