I have a textbox that is used to input the value to convert followed by a space and the units (i.e., 56 km) and a second textbox where the user types what unit they want to convert to (i.e., cm). When converting, the output will be displayed in the second textbox. (I know this is complicated, but this is the way it is to be done). I am doing this using sub and function procedures and If blocks and Select Case blocks (i.e., keeping it as simple as possible).

If the ResultID from dtNoCV is located in dtAllResults I want to update some checkbox cells in dtAllResults (as seen below).
I'm looking for better performance, because dtNoCV may contain a few hundred ResultIDs and I'm afraid this loop will slow things down.

Jan 28, 2010I have 50 checkboxes for 50 american states. The user can choose all 50 or only 1( so basically any number he wants). Based on his choice, I want to insert or update the table in sql server 2008. e.g- Color = blue and chk1=check, chk2= check and chk3 = check (chk = checkbox).
Now the user wants to ad 10 more states to this or remove these 3 and add 5 more. so u basically get the idea. the table in database looks like this -ID Color State_id
There is a table called states, so stateid shall come from there. so how do i do a loop insert or update in vb.net?

Mar 11, 2010I am currently working on a project that requires an update within an Access Database. There are photo folders, and the user defines the path name via a dialog box. That path name is stored to a string value, and through OleDBReader, the actual name of the photo (from another column in the database) is stored to another string value. Anyway, I have tried a number of methods to update, and nothing is working, here is my code from the OleDBReader on, and the procedure designed to do the update. (note that TargetID represents the primary key of the access DB.. this is why I pass that value in because I can use the Rows.Find(PK) method.. When I use a simpler updating method, I get an error saying I do not have a valid update command). OK Here is the code:

Asp.net - Updatepanel Doesn’t Update Correctly - Must Click Twice To Update
Feb 18, 2011I am using an update panel and when I click a button it will update all the panels. updapanel1.update() is very simple, but my data is not updating unless I hit the button twice. My gridviews shows data for a selected user, and then all the grids reflect that users data. works fine all the update panels work for the gridviews. Now for somereason when i try to do a row count and update the panel with the summary, it does not work, i get either the previous users summary or if i hit update again for the same user i get the correct data.

Jul 21, 2010I have a gridview that is set to a sql datasource, it is generating the columns automatically. If I add a column to the table it is referencing, it will draw that column and display it, but it does not update the insert/update commands to include the new column. Is there any way have it rebuild those commands automatically?
