Each time my webpage is loaded it runs a routine in the page_load event of the page behind which increments a viewcount by 1.
The problem I have is that the routine runs even if use refresh to reload the page.
How do I stop this routine from running if the page has been viewed by a particular user in their current session? [code]...
I have a problem with running code in the right order. What I am trying to do is updating a session state variable when I press a button. When I run my code it always runs the event handler for the button after my page_load function.The reason why I need to run it after page_load is that, thatI add a line to the textList. Which the loadGui() should add to a table. The table has a remove button for all lines so the loadGui() function can not be added later becuase then the event handler of the remove buttons wont work.
User press the add button which add a row in the TempResponse Session(TempResponse) gets updated loadGui() runs and includes the newly added row

I found that if you press F5 or refress from browser window, the last event fires again
example, I have clicked on a button, the button event is carried out normally, but if I refresh the page by pressing F5 key the same event is fired again.

Once they do select someone, the page reloads with that persons information into another table below that one where they can submit an order for that person or remove that person. I have created a web application in that application i have added two folder. one is admin folder and under admin i have added a upload folder. In upload folder i have three different audio's. And also i have imported DLL for Windows media player. Through this media player im able to play the audios in local host.By giving Direct path like MediaPlayer1.Filename="C:Usersamwaka.mp3".But when i host the website im getting problem the page is getting refreshed but the audio is not getting played.I have tried this path Server.Mappath("..uploadwaka.mp3") and Server. Mappath ("~adminup loadwaka.mp3)the above both paths are not working when i host the website please reply.

The problem im having is that I have a table that when a user click on a button it adds a row to the table via javascript, which works fine. The problem is that if a user need to update other data the user click another button which refreshes the page and all rows the user created in the table are deleted. My question is what can I do to make the rows not to be deleted once the page is refreshed? I know some might think, just not refresh the page, but there is to much data that has to be displayed and a new query has to be generated to grab the data.

I am then changing the current selection of the DropDownList in the Page_Load event but the dropdownlistbox.SelectedItems aren't firing up. Can anyone please help me? I have two radio button on my asp.net page, with AutoPostBack = True When I click on either of those, they each set a flag SaveData=False However, when I click on them, the page_load event occurs first, so the page_load event saves the data, then the radiobutton_OnCheckedChanged event is triggered. I have the following code running in a thread to enumerate the local machines in the active directory. This takes some time to complete (about 5-10 seconds) so if the user quits the application before the enum is complete the application takes 5-10 seconds to quit. I tried thread.abort but because it is waiting for For Each SubChildEntry In SubParentEntry.Children to complete it doesn't abort until this returns.

However, if a user is denied access it throws you back to the login page. Is it possible to show an 'access denied' message or at least simply do nothing?

When my splash screen, I'm doing two tasks. First I'm checking for software updates and then installing them if they exist and second, I'm loading the main form with data.I don't want the splash page to close until these tasks have completed. I'm multi-threading it so I can update the UI accordingly, but that doesn't stop the splash screen from closing. The tasks in the background still complete of course, but that's not how I want to do it.
