TCP/IP - Unable To Read Data From The Transport Connection

I'm building a TCP/IP server that sends small strings and updating my database, every time the client connect i get this Exception:
unable to read data from the transport connection: an existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host. The client successfully able to connect to the server and everything working fine even though this Exception raise, but if i send 3-8 request in the same second the database do get updates in all of them but the server failing to send "OK" response to the client in about 3-4 of those requests, the line i get the error is this: bytesRead = mClient.GetStream.Read(readBuffer, 0, BYTES_TO_READ)

I have a simple scraper. It works on some websites, but on some there is this Error:

I am trying to send messages from my application to a yahoo account and I am getting the following error:failure sending mail..Unable to read data from the transport connection: net_io_connectionclosed.Is this because of the LAN and work or something else/ [code]after the line mailobj.send executes it stalls for a while and then the application ends.I checked all the parameters and they seem correct

I am building a chat client/server. And I can connect and chat just fine, but when a user disconnects, the server does not recognize this and acts weird, often spamming the last message that was sent by the user..Also, it's like the client does not disconnect from the server even when I close the client app. Once I exit the program, VB acts like it is still debugging. Once the server is shut down however, I get this error:

I'm trying to incorporate TransactionScope into my code and am failing at the first hurdle. I am unable to open a connection inside TransactionScope block. I get exception Connection Not Open.

I have a VB.net Application running on the server which will be sending emails close to 200 everyday. Following is my coding:

The above codes runs inside a loop. The above code runs quite well without any issues. But once or twice a month, I get the following error message and application stops.

I am faced with the prospect of having to completely rewrite the application.I have suddenly started to get this error message all the time - it seemed to start after I added a table to the schema, but deleting the table makes no difference. I can't see anything wrong with the connection string, but as it seems to be entirely undocumented, that doesn't mean much.
The connection string contains DataSource=.SQLEXPRESS;AttachDbFilename=|DataDirectory| est.mdf;Integrated Security=True;User Instance=Trueand certainly the string works when I use "test connection" from the application setting edit box. I am assuming that for some reason it is not evaluating the Data Directory , but can't see any reason why it shouldn't. Any ideas gratefully received! What might be a clue though is that I can't get rid of the table I added. I have deleted it from the database, deleted it from designer and saved the file, but it just keeps reapearing! Even when it is not showing, there is still a
table adapter in the .xsd file. I am reluctant to start editing this manually because of the danger of screwing something else up - I did try but it caused an error somewhere else (VS helpfully didn't say where)

I am trying to use the vb.net method FileGet to populate a type library from a text file. This text file was created by a legacy application using vb6. In the vb6 code, the Put method was used to create this file by dumping the type library into the file. I'm using the same type library to parse back into using the FileGet method. The only difference is that the type library is now an interop dll. When I use the FileGet, it works for most of the files that I'm trying to read.
However, there are a few that give me the error: "Unable to read beyond the end of the stream." Does anyone know what would cause this error and how I can fix it?I've already tried to add a space and a line break at the end of the file.This did not work. I've searched for the solution but have not found anything that has worked.[code]...

Ok, so I have a 'Form' and a 'Code File'. I am thinking of having the Code File stock full of arrays. And since my arrays are huge, just gonna do an example.

I designed a vb.net application. In this application I am using some file which are in WindowsSystem32 folder. Each and everything is working file, but when I install my application on any x64 machine. My application is unable to read the in WindowsSystem32 files. I think this is because of WOW64(windows-32-on-windows-64) issue. I don't want to install these files at any other place because of application security purpose.

I have a problem reading data from an RFID-reader. I connect to the reader by tcp and wait for DataAvailable to be true, then reading the data until I got a end of data character. Then I just go back and waiting for a new DataAvailable. This is done in a own thread for the function.
There seems to be some kind of timeout, If I don't got any data in a couple of minutes, then it just sits there in the do/loop waiting for DataAvailable. I hold the card to the RFID reader, it beeps, but there is no data available. I don't get any exeptions, and the information says that the clientsocket is still connected. Are there anything more I can check?
If I put the card to the reader in a minute-interval it seems as this will never occur. So 2-3 minutes idle:ing seems to do this.

ok so sql lite version of this was easy, why now do i have to make an ini version because boss said so.here it is.I am using a simple ini class to read and write to inis mostly no problem except one thing I need to be able to read all keys from a section without knowing exactly how many there are and grab the every variable from every key.below is class i'm using at moment because it is small and very litl overhead,I dont need a major overhaul, just wondering if anyone might can add to what i have to do what i need.
for futher thought, grab section --> grab every key and it's variable --> use each variable in a loop for instance say i store a bunch of exe paths to a bunch of keys (1-100) and i want to run a loop Process.Start(eachKey'sVariable)

I am reading a CSV file using OLEDB command in VB.Net
Everything is working fine. the only problem is that one of my columns has time value in a format "07:53.8"
When i read this value using dr.item(1), it reads the string into a date "01/25/2012".It gives me the same value in dr.item(0)
I am not able to read the correct value as shown in the CSV file.

I'm gearing up to work on a project which is migrating from VB6 to .NET 4.0. I have Visual Studio 2010 but wanted to try and open the original source code using the VB6 IDE. Can one still acquire this anywhere?I checked here:http:[url].... I am having trouble communicating with a foreign-model PLC (by Keyence) via TCP/IP in VB.NET .The TCP code I have works in that I can read from the PLC's registers using TCP commands etc.BUT I think I have a problem with timing. The goal is to read from 10 Registers every second.I can read a single register individually fine, but I have a timer setup that triggers and reads from each of the registers every second.The code appears to be reading the last request's results from the buffer. For instance,if I read from DM1000 first then DM1054, the second request sometimes has the first's request's data.

I have a situation where I have a vb.net program that uses two connection strings. This program will be used on multiple web servers on multiple domains and the only difference for any of them is the two connection strings.What would be the best solution to read in these connection strings from a file separate from my actual .vb code?
Ideally I want to be able to drop the .vb and the connection string file into its own folder on any number of asp.net websites and not update anything else (for example add any connections to the web.config or anything) than the external file containing the connection strings, I assume something like xml would suffice?
