I'm having problem in hiding a form. Its a login form.
1. When somebody puts a proper username and password and hits a submit button on the form the form gets hidden and a splash screen appears.
2. Username and Password gets saved in settings for the first time
3. If username and password are saved the it triggers the submit button automatically by login_btn_Click(sender, e)
4. The problem it when I'm doing by clicking on the button it is hiding but when calling login_btn_Click(sender, e), it is not hiding it.

I'm curious if it is possible to hide a group of text boxes from view in a form until a particular condition is met, and to have a custom set of text boxes for that condition. To give an example; I want radio buttons offering choices for a manner of searching records, the user selects one and then a specific set of text boxes are displayed for the user to utilize, if a different option is chosen a different set of text boxes will be shown. Is this something that can be done?
i hve made a application in vs2005(frame work 2.0 which has crystal report in my system i have VS2005 software crytsal report whetver i needed i hve done it a design time ie added the fields needed during design time i had placed all the reports in folder knw as reports & had given the path accordingly when i first executed the app;lication & tried to view the report i got a msg something like " reports cann not be displayed , & needs to be in the bin folder of the application" so i pasted all the reports frm report folder in bin & now its working my application is working fine but when i try to view the reports it showed me a login dialog box which contained the servername, username & password though in config file i had specified clinet servername it took the server name of my system & asked for password?

I am currently working with VB.net 2005. I am trying to create a login form and use a text file as a database to login. The part login form is fine but i can't connected to the text file. When i use my coding with a database such as access or mysql is work fine.
For the past couple of days I have been using Visual basic 2008 and learning it.Anyway, I am trying to make a login form that will login to a website with WebBrowser control.and I am noticing that the webbrowser is extremly slow, it takes him about 20 seconds to load a page while mozilla opens it in a moment, why is that?
I try to make one application that will first show login form (with textbox for username and password) and when I press login client application send request to server side application that make SQL query (local) and return some values and that values will be listed in main form. I am using vb.net 2008 i have been using a mdi form which is the startup form for my prog. and i have a main menu on that form. now i would like to shift to tree view as my client has asked for it. whenever a node is selected i can select the form corresponding for that particular code. everything is fine till here. but when the form is loaded the tree view is coming on top of the form the tree view is docked in a pannel. now i have tried everything treemenu.sendtoback and the say the form to b called is taxtypemaster then taxtypemaster.bringtofront but still the tree view is coming over the form

Even the visible doesnt work as it seems after the .show it makes the tree view visible again. how do i hide the treeview pls. someone guide me at the earliest. i feel it is not the prob. of treeview but something to do with the mdi form am i right ?
I have three forms: A, B and C. Upon a button being clicked, A displays B. Similarly, B displays C. Both using the ShowDialog() method.
However when I use the Hide() method (inside a Button Click event) on form C to close it, form B also closes. Why would this be? As far as I can see, it shouldn't be doing this. I certainly didn't write any code to tell it to do that.

UPDATE: I am an idiot. DialogResult was set to Cancel on the button as I'd copy+pasted it from the existing Close button and not realised that property was set
I had a problem with WebBrowser component. Basically, it works improperly when try to log in on one web-site (Forex Trading Social Network | Online Forex Trading Forum and Social Networking Site). I am working with Visual Studio 2010 Professional. I created a simple WebBrowser trying to access the indicated web-site. The problem begins. Well, the website loads, but when you go to the login page (Forex Trading Social Network | Online Forex Trading Forum and Social Networking Site) and try to log in, it doesn't work. I mean, when I enter the login details the login page just refreshes itself and the login wasn't proceed. The same login page appear with every login attempt. The is the current problem!I check with Google, it works. But, it doesn't work with Forex Trading Social Network | Online Forex Trading Forum and Social Networking Site! Why?

im trying to do where the main form is a login form if the USer and password matches that in the code it goes to the main screen if it doesent it launches a form saying this user and or password is incorrect and when you click ok it closes that message window as well as the login form stop the program from launching is has to match the user and password from the text on text box one and masked textbox 1.
I'm using 2 forms, one as a login screen and one as a main screen. Once the user is done with the login screen, bearing in mind that he'll never use it again, should I simply hide it with 'me.hide' and change to my new form, or is there a better way to do that, maybe do delete it from memory completely or something?

I have a code which when used, firstly application will run the Splash Screen application. Splash Screen will be active for several second, and then the main of application will show in full screen. Before the user use the application, user must Log in first. This works but the problem is that it loads the splash and login form twice. To worsen the situation, the second login form that appears gives access to the system even when the cancel button is clicked while the first login form just works fine. Ok, everything is 'functionally' working with what I am attempting to accomplish and once again, I am sure this is something dumb, but I cannot figure out how to do this one thing.I have an edit form for an entity, lets say a car. This 'car' can have 0 - many passengers. So on my edit form, I have all the fields for the car, then a list view showing each passenger (partial). I also have a 'add new passenger' button that will render a new partial view that allows you to enter a passenger. This has a cancel link and an add button to submit an Ajax form. When you add a passenger, the passenger is automatically added to the list, but I need the enter passenger form to go away. I have tried using the onSuccess and onComplete functions to hide the div that the form is in, but both render just the partial view HTML elements (white screen, text) and not the partialView in the context of the entire page.
[Code] when the program is launched normally it works fine but when the program is passed the appropriate command line my program responds accordingly except for the fact that the first form does not hide() when told to. its like the program just skips that line and shows the recovery form.
