Unable To Install Or Run This Application. This Application Requires Microsoft Common Language Runtime 4.0.3 To Be Installed On Computer?
Jun 8, 2011
I have designed and published my small created app with WINDOWS FORMS using VB 2010 EXP on Windows 7. I can only install the app on the machine that I used to develop the app.I want to install the app on another computer but I cannot. I usually have error reports.
Example:Unable to install or run this application. This application requires Microsoft Common Language Runtime 4.0.3 to be installed on your computer.
what can I do to be able to install the app on a different computer which does not have .Net and does not have visual basic 2010 installed.
Just got this message today on user machines when pushing out an update to a ClickOnce VB.NET application. No new references have been added, just some bug fixes.
System Update Required Unable to install or run the application. The application requires that assembly Microsoft.Vbe.Interop Version 14.0.0.0 be installed in the Global Assembly Cache (GAC) first.Note that this is only happening in XP machines, not Win 7.
I try to install my program (Run from setup) in a pc. Operating system Windows 7 Professional edition, it says to run the applciation , the application requires your system to be updated to Microsoft common Lanuage Runtime version 4.0.21006.0. What does it means?
I have a WinForm program developed in VB.Net with Visual Studio 2005. The program needs Microsoft Office Runtime installed atleast on the computer to allow the application to run without any errors.
Is their a way to check the computer to see if the minimum of the Runtime or Microsoft Office is installed on the computer? If either isn't I would like to display a message to the user on the startup of the application that states to atleast go to Microsot's site (I have full link to Runtime Download) and download the runtime for free.
Or is their a way to include the runtime as a component with my install for the application so if it isn't installed on the computer already it will install when the application is installed?
I have to create an online application which i can apply it on every employee's computer in my company and i have create the application on visual basic 2008 and SQL 2005 using windows application and database. The problem is i do not understand how am i going to run the application on every employee's conputer. Because i have create the application on my computer, must i install SQL on every employee's computer? or any other software i have to used.
I have an vb.net application that I want to install on other Computer. The backEnd is SQL server. so the error is on other computer (Provider :: SQL NETWORK INTERFACE ERROR 26 -error LOCATING SERVER, INSTANCE SPECIFIED)
I need help with regards to application distribution. The application i have made is in vb.net with sql server as database. I have 2 laptops . i want to install the application on both computer So that one computer will be for administrator and other for employee.
I have created an application in VB.Net 2010 and am using an Access 2010 db. Connecting to this DB I use the Provider= Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0 and it works fine on my machine. This was a recent update from using Jet as that provider was having issues on client Win64 computers that had Access 2007 or 2010 installed.Basically my issue is that I get the error that Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0 is not installed when I try to run the application on the client.
The problem however, is that I do not want ask the users to install Data Access Objects in addition to .Net 4.0. I want a simple install that they can run and upgrade to .net 4.0 if they need to. The above thread states a solution as "You can also consider to use ADO.NET object in System.Data.OleDb namespace to connect to the Access database instead of the Provider. In my opinion, this is the best choice since the ADO.NET provides you the powerful data access objects." This sounds like a great option, however I cannot find any way to install the ACE dll and get it to work on the client.what do I need to include in the client installer to get my application to run on systems without Access installed? Do I just include the ACEODB.dll or is there something else that needs to be done?
Using VB.Net 2010 (not Express)I'm at vthe point where I'm starting Beta Testing. I createds the build and then a publish (to a network share). Now the testers are getting an error during install complaining that "System Update Required"...Unable to install or run the application. The application requires that assembly Microsoft.VisualBasic.PowerPacks.Vs Version X.X.X.X be installed in the Global Assembly Cache
I am trying to figure out what all the files do so that I can use Inno Setup to create an installer. y plan was to install all the files to a temp folder. Then run setup.exe.However, I was not sure what to do about the uninstaller? Inno will want to uninstall as well, which I think I can have it run a file on uninstall. So I was thinking maybe I should put some or all of the files into a permanent folder instead of
To install my application on a remote machine it gives me an error reading..Unable to install or run the application. The application requires that Assembly Microsoft.synchronization.data.server version 2.0.0.0 be installed in the Global Assembly Cache first..I am running vs2010 and I am deploying on a windows XP Service Pack 3 machine. [code]
Unable to install or run this application. The Application requires the assembly My.SQL.Data Version 6.2.3.0 be installed in the Gloabal Asseembly Cache (GAC) first Can someone please explain what this means?
I've made a program but when others try and run the installer they're getting the error "unable to install or run the application. The application requires that assembly Microsoft.vbe.Interop Version 12.0.0.90 be installed in the Global Assembly Cache first.
I'm using VS 2010, and I did a project using VB and a database in Access. The problem is that when I try to put that "application" on other computers, sometimes, is not working. I thought it can be because on these computers they don't have access, but on one computer, is running another app which is using Access and there is no Access installed. How can I check if my application requires Access to be installed or not?
Here is a example of how I did the connection:
Public AccessOLEDBConnString= "Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0; Data Source=" & myfullpath & ";Jet OLEDB:Database Password=password"
Function getConnection() As OleDb.OleDbConnection
[CODE]...
And when I want to have access at the data I'm doing like this:
I'm in a VB.NET application. I have referenced some java.* namespaces in my file and am utilizing objects and methods from this namespace throughout the code. Presumably this is relying upon J# to compile.
Are these JDK namespaces fully contained in the .NET framework, or will my clients need to have Java installed when they go to run my application? As a side note, I have not explicity referenced any external Java DLL's or anything. This is all pure .NET as far as my code is concerned.
So I'm guessing it has something to do with the fact that I don't have office loaded on my computer. Now I have another laptop, with office that I loaded this project on, and it works fine. So do I have to load office on this computer, or can I just reference something?
My VB.NET application uses Microsoft Flex Grid Control 6.0. This is a legacy application which has been ported from VB6 with the Visual Studio conversion wizard. Although I can compile the assembly, I get a COMException because some class is not registered. I've found out that this class is the Microsoft Flex Grid Control 6.0.
Where can I find the control and how can I register it on machines so that the application will run?
When I try to install an application to another user's computer I receive a message box that says "Unable to run or install application. The application requires that assembly Microsoft.SqlServer.Pipelinehost version 9.0.242.0 be installed in the global assembly cache (GAC) first.A key feature of the app is to export data from sql server to an excel spread sheet so I have the following import statements
I have an application written using Visual studio 2005 (in VB.Net). When I run it on any machine I get "unable to find a version of the runtime to run this application and this same application successfully some other PCs[code]...
A while ago I wrote a library which helps me simply text operations, serial communications, PLC interaction using OPC Automation, etc... My problem is with the vb6 serial control mscomm32.ocx. In my computer, I can use it with no problem. Everything works fine when testing serial control and my forms can open sucessfully. When I try to run a winform that uses Serial library (mscomm32.ocx) in a computer that doesn't have VB6 installed, I get the error "Common Language Runtime Debugging Services. Application has generated an exception that could not be handled. PRocess id=0xe0 (224). Thread id= 0x6f4 (1780)"
Is it possible to reload a form of the running application from one computer when I executed a function from my other computer with the same application? co'z I want to see the changes of data on my datagrid view?
I created a background image for the form with rounded corners. I filled the outer edges and empty space with Lime color (00FF00) and then set the same transparency key in the properties for my form. It worked well, the edges were transparent and the form appeared round-edged. This was accomplished with Visual Studio .NET 2005 on Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit.The very same application was ported to a different platform. Visual Studio .NET 2005 on Microsoft Windows XP Professional 32-bit. All the settings are the same and nothing has been changed. But the transparency effect is not appearing on the Windows XP platform.
We have a VB .Net application that is targeted to the .Net Framework version 2, over the past couple of days users have been reporting that they are getting the following error message when running the program?
I have developed an application using VB.NET (.NET 2.0). I have put an exe on 4 client machines, it works fine on 3 clients but fourth gives me the following error:
Unable to find a verison of the runtime to run this application
I have .NET 2.0 framework installed on the fourth machine.
I have created an shareware application using vb.net visual studio 2008 for windows desktop, and packaged it using innosetup 5.3.8. The problem is when i have installed the application in C:Program FilesApplication and it runs successfully(use trial period of the application), Im also able to install the application once again freshly with the same setup by installing in different directory.eg C:Program FilesApplication new . The application in C:Program FilesApplication new does not have any settings of the already installed one.
Where do i went wrong . Do i need to take care of this in my application(vb.net) or innosetup. How to take care of the already installed path in innosetup or carry the settings of already installed application to newly installed path by upgrading the older one.
I dont want to write any thing in registry because the application does not want any administrative permission requirements. If i install the application in same path it gets updated with the older settings being taken over to this new one and it works fine.
I have recently created an application with Visual Basic.NET. I published my application and installed it. Now the question is that I need to know where exactly does the application gets installed on my system ?
