Unable To Integrate IE9 Rendering Engine With .net Browser Control?
May 25, 2012
I tried this registry below and it didn't work. My application name is 'Testapp', using VS2010 on windows 7 with IE9 installed. I want to render the pages in IE9 not IE7. [URL]used this registry below, by making one separately then registered in registry. After that I launched my app but it still loaded in IE7.
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftInternet ExplorerMainFeatureControlFEATURE_BROWSER_EMULATION]
"testapp.exe"=dword:00002328
I can't seem to find a way to use the IE9 rendering engine in the WebBrowser control, instead of the IE7 rendering engine, using Visual Studio 2010 and Windows Forms.
I created one download accelerator using vb.net. now I integrate that application in IE(i.e when user click on any download link it should open my application instead of normal download window.for example the system having Internet download manager(IDM) ,when we click on any download link in Internet explore it automatically open IDM instead of notmal popup. same thing I need to do in my application.
I am looking at using the better GDI++ font rendering in a web browser I'm making with VB2008. I want to retain the IE web browser component (the default one) but have all text rendered through GDI++ to give a more Safari-like look to the text. What I want to know is, is this even possible? And if so, how complex are we talking?
in VB.NET How can i write a memory stream to browser. My memory stream object has data to build a PDF file. Now i want it to be rendered on browser. How to do that ?
I am looking to make a web browser in Visual Basic Express 2010 and I need an open source or free browser engine that works with visual basic.
I know there is WebKit but I would have to learn C++ to use it.I do not want this browser to be just an IE shell because I want it to have it's own engine.
I have been making a webbrowser in VB.net with a simple layout and simple things in it like a history, go buttons, back button, refresh, a menu etc(atm im trying to make a favourite, and a open file and stuff) but all of this are just things i see back in IE , as the engine or is based on it what my question was is it possible to make a webbrowser(not too hard ) with a diffrent engine.are there any lightweight engines? and how do i implent it with VB.net. how does this all in theory go, .i want to know how these engines work, and what functions i would need to use to make a webbrowser on that specific engine.
I have a web application that works in our stage/test environment fine but once we moved it to our production environment something weird happens. All the control ids change. a label went from ctl00_cphMainContent_lblPetName to _ctl0_cphMainContent_lblPetName. Why would this happen? What could cause something like this to happen. The only two differences I know of are the production environment has HTTPS and I've disabled debugging.
I've pulled down a webpage using a WebRequest object, and need to parse it, but first I need to render it since there is scripting on the page. I don't want to use the WebBrowser control because that forces me to jump out of my current function to the DocumentCompleted event, and "lose my place" (so to speak). Is there any way for me to pull down a URL using a WebRequest object and have the page rendered but still stay in my function?
I am trying to integrate the ckeditors file browser and upload image tools, i have managed to set the ckeditor to allow you to click on the browse file button and upload tag but how do i use ASP.NET VB to open the file browser and make the upload image work?
I am using the .NET 3.6.0 version where they provided the DLLS
I've built my first usercontrol for use in a GPS Mapping forms app.
pic1 shows "panel1" containing some picturebox "tools" with a map(another panel containing a picturebox) underneath.
Pic2 shows that I dragged the map and the "tool" have not moved with the drag.
"panel1" also contains my usercontrol( this will show a transparent map scale). My usercontrol and all the "tools" definately have the same parent - ie "panel1".
If I resize the form to cause a re-paint of all the controls I get Pic3 - the red T bar (my usercontrol) will be the map scale.
Everything looks OK until I drag the map - the user control goes with the drag. Pic4 shows that the usercontrol image has been erased as it passed under the "tools".
I don't understand why the "tools" stay put and on top of the map and the usercontrol does not - even though they all have the same parent.
I'm trying to integrate a custom control that I built into my vb.net project. My control contains 4 text boxes Month, Day, Year, and Time. My database field is a datetime field in SQL Server 2005.I am able to bind the data, but my control doesn't work when a date isn't entered. I'm pretty sure that this is a DBNull issue. I need to be able to insert NULL into the database when a date isn't entered. When a date is entered, I want to insert that date into the database. With the below code, I can't tab out of my control when a date isn't entered.
Im using VB2005 express and the app im creating uses the web browser control.Basically I want to know if its possible to make the web browser control connect through a different ip address and port from your default web browser.
I am trying to use the Web Browser control in my vb .net user control. I am using VS 2008. Finally, I will be calling my assembly (.dll) from a web page. I wanted to display the usercontrol with the web browser control inside this web page. The problem is I cannot proceed since the Web browser control cannot be called from a partially trusted assembly. Using VS 2008 I have created a strong name for my class, also added the <Assembly: AllowPartiallyTrustedCallers()> to the AssemblyInfo. But still the web browser control cannot be seen in my web page. Do you how I can make my assembly fully trusted so that it can access web browser control? If you have used web browser control, can you confirm if this step is really required?!
I would like for my program to navigate via textbox1.text with multiple lines and multiple url links inside of it. I know how to make the webbrowser1.navigate via textbox1.text with multiple lines, however I want my webbrowser to navigate to each url every 1-1.5 seconds once button1 is clicked. Yes, my webbrowser1 will navigate to the specified urls via the textbox1.text (multilines) with a button click, but I need the webbrowser1 to navigate in a order sequence from top to bottom of Textbox1.text (multiplelines) every 1 second. Here is the current code that I have to navigate via multilined textbox1.text control in order sequence:
Okay, so I just started using visual bsaic 2010. For my first project I am trying to build a web browser, i am using a tab control and all my buttons work on the original tab but once a make a new tab the buttons dont work
This is my current situation and work process. There are two companies A and B and we are company B. These are two differenct company and they can't access the database directly.I have to open a web browser and log into a web site of A to download a excel file by clicking a button on the web browser and I have to open the VB.NET 2005 application of B to import the excel file from A.Additionally I have to export a excel file from the VB.NET application and upload thru the web browser. For example,
1. I open a web broswer and log into the web site
2. I click a button from VB.Net application and some kind of event triggered to click a buton on the web browser and automatically download a excel file and imported to vb.net application.or make add-in application on web browser to do same work ?

I noticed that on one of my systems (running vista) that I only have the IE6 webbrowser control, but on my Windows 7 computer, I have the IE7 control? Can anyone explain this and tell me where to get the IE8 webbroser control?
