Alright here's my situation: I have a form. This is a very small form that can be moved with the mouse (formborderstyle=none). The transparencyKey is 0,0,1. The form back color is 0,0,1. There is a label on the form. I drag files to this label(its backcolor is black[0,0,0]). What I want is for the filesize to be checked. I already have the uploading to ftpcode, I just want to know if the file is above my limit I set. (250mb per file)

All, I have a Custom object which I have written using VB.NET (.net 2.0). The object instantiates its own threading.timer object and carries out a number of background process including periodic interrogation of an oracle database and delivery of emails via smtp according to data detected in the database. The following is the code implemented in the windows service class [Code].
After a little bit of experimentation I arrived at the above code in the OnStart method. All functionality passed testing when deployed from VS2005 on my development PC, however when deployed on a true target machine, the service would not start and responds with the following message: "The service on local computer started and then stopped..." Am I going about this the correct way? If not how can I best implement my incident manager within the confines of the Windows Service class. It seems pointless to implement a timer for the incident-manager because this already implements its own timer.
The Local Report (.rdlc) I designed, returns on some data ranges with this error "An error occurd during local report processing". How can I please find out which data elment (SQL 2005) is causing the problem?

View 6 RepliesMy first project was a small windows form application that I'm hoping to put on the office server and have it accessible to more than one person at a time. I wrote the code in Visual Studio, and put the exe file and access database on the office server. When another computer (that doesn't have visual studio installed) opens the file this error comes up: The 'Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0' provider is not registered on the local machine. I realize I may need a quick download on these other computers to be able to read the VB program?
