I have a form with 2 Report-viewers each displaying their own rdlc file they both are Identical the only diference is the user has the option to have their name or their logo on it..They both render perfectly in the report-viewer..I get the error only on one of the reports when I try to export to PDF with code I wrote not the built in export button in ReportViewer,if I use the built in export button it exports well.[code]

View 5 RepliesI have a .rdlc report I created using vs2010.The report has 2 parameters: location (integer) and dteo(datetime).When I run running the report using vss reportviewer, I get following error:An error has occurred during report processing.is not a valid value for Int32.Index was outside the bounds of the array. The code below is generated from the report ran on vss2010.As you can see, there are 2 parameters, doe and location. Location is integer while doe is of date datatype. location is coming from a lookup table called Locations. Each location (integer) is associated with location_description (nvarchar)

I've read on internet that this is a write permission issue or it has something to do with the stream. Anyway I dunno how to alter the coding so that every user can make a screenshot.
i try to save image to a folder on a server. i load the image from a fileupload control, resize it and save to the folder. this works fine when i run from Visual studio. But when i deployed to the server, i get the error: "Generic Error Occured in gdi+". In trying to solve this, i give network service and asp.net accounts permissions to the folder.

I imported an app from vb6 to vb.net It works fine. It has one axmsflexgrid control. Now I want to add another axmsflexgrid control in the same app. I tried to copy and paste from one frame (groupbox) to another and got this error:

Itemlists is a global lists i retrieved from database, everything looks fine to me but when i run this program, I found that the threads are inserting one records 9 times into the database(I have 9 threads in total), which makes me think that maybe i need to specifically assign 1/9 of a list to each thread? Is there another way to do it which doesn't require the splitting of the list, if not , how do i split it then assign?

It checks if the webpage in the web browser control has crashed. The website crashes alot. I want to acomplish this by checking the text of the webpage for vital keywords such as "ERROR" or "Could not connect:" or "An error occured. Returning to the autowatch system in 60 seconds..." The page refreshes every 5 to 120 seconds. The timer gets activated 10 seconds into the program's launch. It refeshes the code above every 5 seconds(to minimize CPU usage). However, it crashes and gives the error "NullReferenceException was unhandled". This could be because the page keeps on refreshing or the page is php and has 2 iframes. How do I fix this?
i created more projects using ReportViewer 2005 and 2008 in local processing mode than I can count on my hands. All Visual Studio 2005 or 2008 ASP.NET web forms projects. I always used some flavor of Object data source for the reports.Tonight, I attempted to add the same functionality to a Visual Studio 2010 MVC 2 project and am failing miserably. First, the Add New Item > Reporting > Report is now a 2008 RDLC and not a 2005 RDLC report. Secondly, when trying to add a DataSet, my usual method of create a data proxy class with static methods that return IEnumerables(Of Stuff) will not show up as sources in the DataSources drop down
Thirdly, my only option is to add a Database connection. There is no "Object Data Source" to pick from: Like I kind of alluded to, I have no problems whatsoever actually rendering a report using the ReportViewer control. What I can't do is figure out how set up a Data Source in these new-fangled 2008 reports with Visual Studio 2010 so that I can pump a list of domain objects into the ReportViewer and display the report.
UPDATE: With some more research, I've found that MVC projects do not allow object data sources to be used within them. One solution for my issue is to create a separate project in the solution -- a web application, a service, or even just a class library, to add the report to and design it accordingly.'m still looking for alternatives here, so don't run away too fast!

View 2 Repliesi have a vb .net 2008 console application that generate a pdf based on a report made in crystal report (.rpt) developed on a local machine, it work fine but when i installed the same application on the server and its opened in the vb .net 2008 installed in the server the fonts looks differents (they both have arial inline, i dont use cssclass on the project) and some controls have different sizes, so i have to make differents changes in the proyect.I check the crystal report.engine dll and are the same in both vb. studio why it presents the differents between the applications?

I am generating PDF file using Crystal report ExportToDisk method in VB.NET 3.5.
Locally and on integration environment generated PDF file is much readable i.e.font size is good. But the PDF file generated on production environment is different in formatting.The lines are wrapping and font size is also little small. There is not Adobe installed on integration.
