I have created a project in which i am printing Hall ticket for an examination. i am using visual studie 2008 as front end and sql2008 as backend. I have created a report in crystal reprot. I have photographs of students in a local folder. how do i access or call each of the photo in the report. i m not getting anything how to go about.

i am using a local database i.e,the sql server express that comes with the vs2005,dont have any sql server additonally installed in my pc.

I have a report and is working with .netnow i needload images in runtime by passing the values in .net or load the image by dbthe control that i using isthe crystal report viewer, i have found codes in the web that refer this:

View 3 Repliesi have a vb .net 2008 console application that generate a pdf based on a report made in crystal report (.rpt) developed on a local machine, it work fine but when i installed the same application on the server and its opened in the vb .net 2008 installed in the server the fonts looks differents (they both have arial inline, i dont use cssclass on the project) and some controls have different sizes, so i have to make differents changes in the proyect.I check the crystal report.engine dll and are the same in both vb. studio why it presents the differents between the applications?

I am generating PDF file using Crystal report ExportToDisk method in VB.NET 3.5.
Locally and on integration environment generated PDF file is much readable i.e.font size is good. But the PDF file generated on production environment is different in formatting.The lines are wrapping and font size is also little small. There is not Adobe installed on integration.

Problem: Everytime a report is being run it generates a ('.*tmp', '.*rpt') files typically in a temp folder c:windows emp however we can get rid of the *.tmp files by setting a recycle on the application pool but need a way to get rid of the .rpt files.

But to keep it easy, I want this app to create a small picturebox on form to show the thumbnail of downloaded image. Lets say a 5 pictureboxes has to be added with the thumbnails to show the recent downloads. A user can save the location where he wants to save the files on hard disk. A listbox or a dropdown menu will help in categorizing the images, like image1 in friends section, image2 in family section, image3 in others, etc... When the program restarts all the latest 5 thumbnails has to be loaded in pictureboxes and the directory that was chosen. Finally, a button that shows the downloaded images into original image file size one by one or a slide show. Is it possible to make such program?

I am trying to convert a VB6 Data Report (.dsr file) to a Crystal Report through the migration process within Visual Studio. I have read articles that reference adding a Data Report to a Project from Visual Studio 2005/2008 and that it will convert the Data Report to a Crystal Report, but I have not been successful in doing so. The idea is to scan a folder of images and then let the user navigate back and forth through the images using a couple of buttons.The problem is, I can only get it to return a single image, and not the whole lot. View 3 RepliesI have a program that will get a hash of the image but the problem is that I have to do to manually.I have a set of images of a folder names images(C:/images/) and ill be choosing which of those images i want to upload to my database.So far I got my program to work with database and such, wat I need is, if its possible I but the folder path on OpenFileDialog and I was a image to show in Picturebox1, then if I press button1 it will go to next picture.
