Apr 15, 2012"Create a class called Invoice that a hardware store might use to represent an invoice for an item sold at the store. An Invoice should include four pieces of information as instance variables--a part number (type String), a part description (type String), a quantity of the item being purchased (type Integer) and a price per item (Type Integer). Your class should have a constructor that initialize for each of the four instance variables. Provide a property for each instance variable. If the quantity is not positive it should be set to zero. If the price per item is not positive it should be set to zero."
I attached the code I have. obj is underlined and says "Argument not specified for parameter 'Invoice4' of the 'Public Sub New (Invoice1 As Object, Invoice2 As Object, Invoice3 As Object, Invoice4 As Object)' and so the program won't run. What am I doing wrong?

Jul 4, 2010I want to create a report that will be printed on a special form (a readymade invoice form). The form has a custom size which is not one of the standard page sizes. The report must show the printer selection dialog first and then send the report directly to the printer without showing preview dialog. I know how to create a report using a ReportViewer but my problem is how can I control the page custom size? How I can print the report without showing the ReportViewer at run time? Is the ReportViewer control is the right control to use for such report? Or should I use the PrintDocument object?

Dec 11, 2009I'm trying to figure out the best and or easiest way to print to a pre-formatted invoice form so that my data lines up with the appropriate fields on the invoice. I've looked at PrintForm from the Power Packs, but it doesn't print a full 8 1/2 x 11 page that I can tell. I was thinking about storing the data to a text file and printing the text file, but I know there are going to be problems if I use hard spaces inbetween the text. Is there a way to use some kind of absolute positioning to line up my data? If so, how would I go about doing that?

Apr 17, 2009im having problem creating an invoice. on my form ive layed out text boxs,listboxs etc in the correct order. i do not want to print out the whole form, but just how the layout is and containing the information in the labels etc.
my program is working perfectly fine the only problem is i just cant print it!! i managed to print the subheadings, eg price,name,quantity etc . i want to be able to print the contents of the listboxs under the correct heading. does anyone know a way to go about this?

Grier's Enhanced Serial Port dll to read input from a serial port barcode scanner I notice that the datareceived event fires only once per barcode scan, but the delegate sub fires twice per barcode scan. Once for 1st half of Barcode , 2nd for 2nd part of barcode This makes it hard to capture the full barcode so it can be passed to routines in my vb.net 2008 windows application In Richard's example 'Test Enhanced Port' program he sends it to a textbox using .selectedtext and it works fine Richards Delegate code ......................

How do I do this? I also want to give it a specific name instead of a name being given to it automatically. I know how to create a folder and save files in it during the test runs when I press F5 (If directory.exists etc etc etc) but that is during the runtime - how do I make a folder already available that is created during installtion.

To date it doesn't look like VSTA will be the replacement. Automation from an External VB.NET app is certainly possible, but leaves something to be desired for speed and integration. Compiled Add Ins are the Cadillac of choice but can be a royal pain to debug and develop. Autodesk now provides a lightweight VB.NET script interface called iLogic. It's main purpose is to allow extreme customization of Solid Modeling parts. The code actually resides inside the Part Model file.

Publish Codes So That Programme Could Run On All Computers Without Having VB Installed In All Of Them?
Nov 17, 2008I've just finished my programme, and would liek to publish it for beneficial use . But when I publish the code, only my own computer (which has Visual Basics Express 2008 Edition installed) could use the published executable file. All the other computers comes up with a warning saying a .NET environment is required.
How could I publish the codes so that the programme could run on all (or most) computers without having VB installed in all of them?
