How To Create Report For Readymade Invoice Form

I want to create a report that will be printed on a special form (a readymade invoice form). The form has a custom size which is not one of the standard page sizes. The report must show the printer selection dialog first and then send the report directly to the printer without showing preview dialog. I know how to create a report using a ReportViewer but my problem is how can I control the page custom size? How I can print the report without showing the ReportViewer at run time? Is the ReportViewer control is the right control to use for such report? Or should I use the PrintDocument object?

"Create a class called Invoice that a hardware store might use to represent an invoice for an item sold at the store. An Invoice should include four pieces of information as instance variables--a part number (type String), a part description (type String), a quantity of the item being purchased (type Integer) and a price per item (Type Integer). I attached the code I have. obj is underlined and says "Argument not specified for parameter 'Invoice4' of the 'Public Sub New (Invoice1 As Object, Invoice2 As Object, Invoice3 As Object, Invoice4 As Object)' and so the program won't run. What am I doing wrong?

After several hours of searching the internet I could not find any Report Viewer tutorials that show a project that contains a parent/child report. I'm using rdlc report files.I can create a single report but we want to create a report that shows shows invoice header information followed by the invoice details followed by the next invoice header and details and so on.
If a sample project is not available, do you know of an online tutorial that shows how to do it?I saw something that might help on gotreportviewer.com about subreports, but it's in C# and not VB.Net so I could not figure out how it works.

I have a simple question that most could probably answer. I have a button that when it is clicked it transfers information from that form to a microsoft word doc. Now what I want to do is everytime that button is clicked it creates a number that is displayed on the word doc. So this is how it would go:
first click- it would show a number 1 on the invoice.
second click- it would show a number 2 on the invoice.
This would continue as long as the program is used.

I barely use windows form but now I have a windows form application, there is a Listbox control, which will populate Active Directory search result, not like other regular database.I am thinking it would be nice if user can print off the search result in the listbox?
I was thinking using a Crystal Report viewer, but how to define the data source, it is not like regular data source that I can set up a connection, the search result is a dynamically generated data table, not from database.

I'm trying to figure out the best and or easiest way to print to a pre-formatted invoice form so that my data lines up with the appropriate fields on the invoice. I've looked at PrintForm from the Power Packs, but it doesn't print a full 8 1/2 x 11 page that I can tell. I was thinking about storing the data to a text file and printing the text file, but I know there are going to be problems if I use hard spaces inbetween the text. Is there a way to use some kind of absolute positioning to line up my data? If so, how would I go about doing that?

im having problem creating an invoice. on my form ive layed out text boxs,listboxs etc in the correct order. i do not want to print out the whole form, but just how the layout is and containing the information in the labels etc.
my program is working perfectly fine the only problem is i just cant print it!! i managed to print the subheadings, eg price,name,quantity etc . i want to be able to print the contents of the listboxs under the correct heading. does anyone know a way to go about this?

Currently we are using a VB script macro created in word to create some fairly simple forms based off of data entered on a data entry form. I am very new to VB, and I have been able to create many applications using forms, but I have absolutely no history creating reports. I have been reading up on the reports, and it looks like they are designed to use with data sources like tables. I merely want to take either data from the entry form, or from data derived internaly from processing the user entered data and populate a defined report "form". I have been searching, but there is so much on printing reports, that I feel overwhelmed. I am not looking for the exact answer as much as a link or place to look for a sample for what I want to do.

in my app, I want to use reports. It's a long time ago, when I created my first report and that was in vb6. Now, I would like to use the report viewer control and the reports, created in vb.net. I use postgresql database with an ado.net connector (also I have dataadapters, datasets, datareaders, etc). how I can reference a report variable in the Report Properties Code Window of a local report? I have tried Variables!Claimant.Value (for a variable called Claimant) but I get an error "Reference to a non-shared member requires an object reference." I have tried qualifying it with Report. and also with the report name in front of it but I get errors with this also.I have the variable CLaimant defined in the Variables section of the Report Properties.

I am currently making a video game with a couple of my buddies and we need a bug report program, now I was talking to a friend and he said the easiest way to make one is to use Visual basic, the program is simply supposed to take text from the chat box on the windows form, and send it to an E-mail address. I have gotten most of the code for writing and reading from the text box, and have even been able to send text to a text document on a drive. I am having problems sending it to an actual E-mail address.
